As I walk through the halls of forks high school I can't help but notice everyone's stares. They look at me as if I'm some kind of freak.. I know I'm a mute but that shouldn't label me as a freak. I try and forget that and focus on finding the lunch room. As I reach the double doors I see Bella and some new friends sitting at a table. I head over there and as I take a seat next to Bella the side door opens and in walks the vampires. Bella begins to ask who they are and the girl named Jessica begins to explain. I however could care less about their conversation instead I look at Jasper as I see him wave at me and I wave back.

Then as they sit down Jasper waves me over so as I stand up Bella asks me. "Do you know them?" I simply shrug my shoulders not bothering to tell her the details. Then I walk over to their table and sit next to Jasper. Looking around the table I shift nervously and jazz must sense this because he begins to introduce me to his family. "My apologies soph this is my family.. this is my girlfriend Alice, over there is my sister Rosalie and her boyfriend emmet.. then we have Edward. Everyone this is Sophie." Suddenly the man who looks like a bear stands up and walks over to me pulling me into a hug. This causes me to start hyperventilating because he doesn't realize I don't like people touching me. As he notices me hyperventilate he lets go and crouches down asking me if I'm alright. I shake my head no and next thing I know Jasper has picked me up and taken me outside. Gently he sets me on the rough cement and I slowly begin to calm down. However I am finding it hard to breath.. this happens sometimes when I have a severe attack. Slowly the world begins to go black and with my last effort I sign to Jasper "hospital."
