Chapter 27

It was 8:35 by the time I finished dinner and I must say it looks quite delicious. Suddenly my phone rings and I pick it up and see Carlisle's name appear on the screen. I wonder why he's calling. "Hello?" I say answering the phone. "You know you have to tell her." I scowl because I know he's in my room now. But h doesn't know I know. Smirking I quietly crawl up the stairs which causes my dad to stare at me in bewilderment. "What ever do you mean sweetie?" I ask playing innocent. Before he can answer I fling open my door and tackle Carlisle onto my bed. We both land on it with an oof bit we laugh too. "How'd you know?" He asks. Ending the call. "I have my ways." I tell him seriously but he knows I'm joking. "I missed you!" I tell him then bring him in for a passionate kiss. Carlisle returns the kiss with just as much passion if not more. We both were so caught up in our actions we didn't hear Bella knock on my door. So obviously she opened it and now she's staring between the two of us like we have three heads. I clear my throat and sit up as does Carlisle. "Hey Bells..." I say then freeze. Shit! I had gotten so used to talking to dad and Carlisle I forgot I hadn't told Bella yet. "Y-you can speak?!" She nearly screeches. Quickly I shush her so dad won't hear. "Dr.Cullen does my dad know your here?" She asks. For the first time I think I actually see fear flicker across Carlisle's face. "Why Dr.Cullen, is that fear I see in your eyes?" I ask him amused. He playfully scowls at me and answers. "Why miss Swan I do believe that is fear you see." Suddenly a throat clears. "Um Carlisle could you excuse us?" He nods his head and leaves.. out through the window. I turn my attention back to Bella and see her stare at me with her eyebrows raised. "Okay so I have a reasonable explanation for all of this I swear."
