Chapter 14

RING RING

I jump up off of the cold cement ground as I hear the final bell ring. Stretching my back and popping it I inwardly sigh in satisfaction. The students begin to walk out of school and I soon see Bella walking out worry written across her face. Once she sees me she frowns and quickly walks up to me. "Sophie what the heck! Why weren't you at school?" She asks yelling slightly which causes some people to look towards us. I ignore them and sign to Bella. " I was at school I just left after lunch.. Chill out bells." She huffs. "Don't do that again soph.. dads gonna kill you when he finds out." I glare at her "he won't find out Bella." She simply sighs shaking her head and opens the car door for me once again but just as I'm about to get in I see jasper across the parking lot signaling for me to come over. I immediately know why he wants me to come over there..the Cullen's want to talk about how I know they are vampires... great. "Hey Bella.. I forgot I have to do a project with jasper so I have to ride home with them." She looks at me clearly not convinced but still she nods her head and allows me to go. I thank her and head towards Jasper's car. "He soph how are you doing?" He asks and I shrug my shoulders. "Well we better get going.. Carlisle's waiting at the house along with everyone in else." I nod my head and hop inside his car and we drive away from the school.

As we near the Cullen's house I grow more and more nervous. We pull up to their beautiful house and jasper speeds out of the car and opens my door like a true gentlemen. I thank him and we begin to walk up to the house. Before we can open the door Alice has already done it for us. "Sophie!!" She squeals in delight which strangely doesn't cause me to cower away. I smile and shyly wave. "Come on in." She tells me and as I enter jasper and Alice follow behind me so I stop waiting for them to go ahead of me to lead me. They understand and go ahead of me and I follow them. We reach the living room and there I see everyone sitting but as soon as we enter their heads snap towards us and I become uncomfortable. "Sophie it's nice to see you again." Emmet days and I sign. "It's nice to see you too.. all of you." They smile except for Rosalie she only half smiles. "Please take a seat I believe we have many things to discuss." Carlisle tells me as he gestures towards a empty seat. "I believe we do." I sign them take a seat. "Well I think the first question is how do you know what we are?" I sigh inwardly and think to myself This is gonna be a long conversation.
