Silence

Chapter 42

When I open my eyes I'm able to see everything. Every tiny detail I'm able to see like the droplets of water on the vase of flowers near me and the suns rays that sneak through the nearby window. I realize I can hear and smell everything too. I smell blood. I clutch my throat because it's started to burn. Then as if on cue Carlisle enters the room I'm in. "Sophie." He says breathing a sigh of relief. He then explains the throat issue. "Your thirsty, its time to go hunting." i walk up to him and caress his face and smile at him. "hunting animals right?" he nods his head and smiles at me. We then head outside to go hunting. "what do you hear and smell?" Carlisle asks me once we are in the woods. i close my eyes and use my senses. "there is a big bear about a mile away, and two deer by the river." i tell him and he smiles at me proudly. when i open my eyes i race to find the bear and when i do find him my instincts take over and i attack. i get the bear down and kill it in under 5 minuets. standing up i look around and spot Carlisle near a tree. "good job Sophie your a natural!" he exclaims.  i smile and wipe my mouth clean of the blood. "thank you love, tell me hows Bella?" his face turns more serious. "shes injured pretty badly the vampire bit her too but Edward was able to suck the venom out before it spread. i'm so sorry Sophie but i was to late to get to you." he says apologizing. i kindly smile at him the walk towards him. standing in front of him i gently kiss him on the lips and then tell him. "you have nothing to be sorry for." he smiles and kisses me back. we stay like this for about 3 minuets. then we break apart and surprisingly i don't need air. i'm still not used to this whole vampire thing but i'm getting there. we decide to race back to the house and when i beat Carlisle there i smell something sweet, deliciously sweet. i realize what i'm smelling is blood most likely Bella's blood. surprisingly it doesn't bother me too much but that's most likely because i just sucked a grizzly dry. Carlisle catches up to me and says. "Bella is here, are you okay love?" he asks me. i nod my head and say. "i'm okay Carlisle thank you for asking, may i see my sister?" i ask him. he just nods his head and we walk inside. all heads snap towards me and as soon as Bella sees me she runs up to me and hugs me tightly. i smile and hug her back making sure to be gentle. "cant breath soph." she says gasping for air. "sorry." i say and release her, guess i wasn't gentle enough. the rest of the family takes turns hugging me and welcoming me to the family. we all take a seat and begin the long conversation of how the hell do we explain me to charlie.
