I stare at the nomads with my eyes probably as big as saucers the tall dark haired man steps forward and says. "We thought we heard a game." He then gestures towards himself and the other two nomads "I'm Laurent, these are James and Victoria." he explains then Carlisle begins to tell him who we are. "I'm Carlisle. This is my family, Emmet and Jasper, Rosalie, Sophie and Alice, Edward and Bella." he tells the vampire kindly. "Do you have room for a few more players?" Laurent asks in a friendly tone. "Actually, we were just finishing up. But we would certainly be interested in another time. Are you planning to stay in the area long?" asks carlisle. We're headed north, in fact, but we were curious to see who was in the neighborhood. We haven't run into any company in a long time." Laurent explains. "No, this region is usually empty except for us and the occasional visitor, like yourselves." the atmosphere was calm despite the circumstances and i am guessing that would be jasper's doing. I zone out for the rest of the conversation that is until i see James in an attack position staring between Bella and i. "Whats this?" asks Laurent gesturing to Bella and i. "They are with us." Carlisle firmly states. "You brought snacks?" Laurent inquires. Suddenly Edward lets out a ferocious growl like an animal. "I said they are with us." Carlisle corrects Laurent. I grow more nervous because now the atmosphere has changed from calm to tense. Laurent protests. "But they are human." "yes" emmet says back. Laurent then tries to defuse the current situation by telling Carlisle. "It appears we have a lot to learn about each other." "indeed." Carlisle agrees. "But we'd like to accept your invitation." laurents eyes turn towards me and i'm frozen in fear but manage to smile. He returns the smile. "And of course we will not harm the humans." he states. James looks towards laurent in disbelief. Then before i know it Bella and i are being ushered into a jeep. We buckle up and Edward drives us away from the field. "Where are we going?" Bella asks Edward. However no one answers her question so i butt in asking again. "Damn it Edward where are you taking us?!" finally i receive an answer. "We have to get you two away from here...far away...now." he tells us his eyes never leaving the road. Bella then has a sudden outburst. "Turn around! You have to take us home!" she shouts. After Bella and Edward argue for about another 5 minutes they come to an agreement. They plan to take us back and we tell dad we want to go home to phoenix, then we pack our bags. We wait till the tracker is watching then we run. He will follow us and leave charlie alone. "That's actually not a bad idea." Emmett says shocking both Bella and i. However Edward being the worry wart he is says. "It's too dangerous, i don't want him within a hundred miles of you two." i sigh. " Edward take us home." i demand. "Fine but your leaving tonight whether the tracker sees you or not." Both Bella and i agree to that and we head home.
