37|| The rest of our lives

"Evie?" Alfie asks padding into my room.

"Mhm." I say lifting my head off my pillow.

He sits on my bed.

I look over at my clock. 3:28 am.

"Yes." I say grabbing my glass of water from my beside table.

I chug down all the water and put my glass back.

"Well. I'm going to propose." He says.

"WHAT!" I quietly squeal. "When?"

"Saturday." He says.

"Awww." I grin. "Wait what!"

"What?" He chuckles.

"You didn't tell me!" I say.

"Oops." He shrugs.
"What?" He questions as I stare at him.

"Nothing. Now if you excuse me I'm going back to sleep." I announce.

"Noooo!" He says hugging me.

Zoë isn't actually here. She went to go visit her grandparents and is coming back on Saturday night.

The next few days after I would come home from dance we would work on the engagement.

We have to set up the backgarden. There will be a few people so it will be a sort of get together.

Mark was down and he helped us set up.

"I'm so excited!" I giggle clapping my hands.

"Same." Mark does the same thing.

"You guys." Alfie shakes his head.

"Hello darlings." Tracey says.

"Tracey!" I cheer running over and hugging her.

"When is Zoë coming back?" She asks.

"Tomorrow around (sunset)" Alfie tells her.

"Well we better get to work" she says helping us set up everything.

"I can't believe Zalfie are getting engaged today!" Seb says.

It was around 6:00 pm and Seb was over. His mum and dad are close with Zoë and Alfie so Alfie invited them.

"Zoë is gonna have no idea if what's going on." I say filling in my brows.

I decided on wearing a black romper and my hair in a curled ponytail.

I finish off my makeup and put on my high tops.

"Ready darlings?" Seb's Mum asked.

"Yep." Seb nods getting off of my bed.

I slip my phone into one of the pockets in my romper and rain downstairs.

I helped Alfie set up the camera. I don't think he is putting it on YouTube. It's just so he has it.

I have the job of waiting by the window in the lounge.

I wait there for about ten minutes when the gate opens and I see a mini come through.

I make sure everything is in place and start recording on my camera. I hide so I am see Zoë, but she can't see me.

"What?" She says seeing the rose petals and card.

She drops the stuff and reads the card.

She then follows the petals out to the back garden.

I hide behind stuff as she walks.

She finally gets to Alfie who turns around.

"Zoë." He says.

I go around so I can see Zoe's reaction, which should also be caught on the other camera.

"You have been the love of my life for many years. When we first met I couldn't take my eyes off of you. Through the years we have been so through much and I'm glad to say I've done it with you. So Zoë. Make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" He asks going onto one knee holding out the box.

Zoe's reaction is priceless.

"Yes Alfie yess." She squeals.

He takes her hand and slides the ring on her finger.

He lifts her up and spins her around.

I run out hugging the two after Alfie lets her down.

Everyone else comes out which is just Joe, Tracy,Seb, his  Mum And Dad and Mark.

"Aww. All you knew about this?" She asks.

"Nah we dressed up for no reason." Mark jokes hugging her.

"Bring our the drinks!" Amanda cheers.

"I like her." Joe says wrapping his arms around Amanda.

"My second parents are getting married!" Seb screams.

We all laugh and move up further in the garden.

"First we need pictures. Zoë Alfie." Nick raises an eyebrow.

They take pictures then I take a few pictures with them then each person joins in.

We made sure Zoë's ring was on show in all the pictures.

Then I get a call.

"DID OUR SECOND PARENTS GET ENGAGED?!" A scream comes through the phone.

"Is that the Orlando's?" Alfie asks.

"Yes it is. YEAH THEY DID!" I scream back.

Maddie and Darien join the call.

"Congrats you two!" Maddie cheers.

They then have to go to a meeting so we celebrate for the rest of the night.
