"Finally! I thought you'd never come." Niall said as he rose up from his seat to meet the blonde halfway. He had called her earlier today since he has something important to tell her. He thought that she ditched him since he was waiting for her for an hour and a half.

"What's so important about what you're gonna tell me that you have to make me leave home and meet you here? You could've said it over the phone." She said irritatedly.

"Why are you always like that?" Perrie just scoffed as they both took a seat.

For goodness sake, she was in the middle of making out with her wife when he called, telling her to meet him right away since he has something to tell her. That's why she had no choice but to meet Niall here. Wouldn't you be irritated if you were in her place?

If only the lad knows what she was doing before he called.

"If I were you, I will start discussing the very important thing you were saying. Just make sure that it really is important or I'll kill you, do you understand?" She said in her very threatening voice, making the lad gulp and tell her everything.

Niall took an envelope from his bag and handed them to the blonde. Perrie took it instantly and opened it, taking the papers out and giving the lad a death look.

"Divorce papers?! What the fuck, Horan?!" Perrie breathed. "What the hell are these for?!"

"Wait...chillax, Edwards..." Niall said, raising his hand up in defense. He predicted her reaction to be like this, mad and yelling. "Before you murder me, listen to me first."

"What the hell is fuckin' wrong with you?! You called me while I was busy with my wife to give me this fucking divorce papers?!" She roared. "I'm really gonna fucking kill you, asshole!"

"Just listen to me first, alright?" He said, trying to calm her down since people started to look their way. "You were the one who told me to make those papers, actually."

"Don't fool me, Horan! I never told you to make this!" It's true, the blonde can't remember anything regarding what her blonde-haired lawyer was saying. She never told him that. And besides, the thought of divorcing her wife never crossed her mind. N-E-V-E-R.

"What do you mean you never told me? You called me at midnight just to tell me to make this divorce papers right away." Niall reasoned and this only fueled the blonde's anger.

"Are you fucking kidding me right now?!" The blonde balled her fists.

The lawyer quickly took out his phone and looked for something there. Once he found it, he placed it on top of the table as the voice record played.

"I wan--you to make me divorce pape---papers and don't you da----dare question my decisi---decision, just do it!"

Perrie's face became blank after what she heard. The lad was telling her the truth, he just showed her a proof of what he was saying and it made her mad. She indeed told him that but she was drunk and hurt that time. She had no control over her actions that night and she was carried away by the jealousy in her heart when she saw her wife together with that asshole, Jed.

But that wasn't the reason why she's mad, she's mad because she made that stupid decision. It was bullshit!

"I'm sorry pal, I was having second thoughts of whether giving this to you or just forgetting it. But as your lawyer, it was my duty to do what you ask me to so I decided to give it to you."

"Is this all? If you don't have anything to say, I'll go." Perrie said, her face was still blank.

"I know this is not the right time to tell you but I have to."

"Get straight to the point."

Niall took a deep breath before speaking again. "I have all the information that you needed to know. Everything you wanted to know about your Dad's last will and everything about Jade. I can answer all of your questions."

"Then go ahead and tell me...everything I have to know." She said in a serious tone.

This was it. She can finally know the truth and all the questions would be answered. Her mind can finally be at peace after so long.

"Good evening, Mister Thirlwall," A brown-haired lad said as he entered the CEO's office. He closed the door behind him before placing an envelope on top of the table.

"With your presence here, I am expecting that you have great news to tell me." The old man said while looking straight into the investigator's eyes.

It had been so long since he hired him to investigate about his daughter and his late wife, Norma but until now, he still couldn't give him a clear report about the case.

"I do have great news." He pointed the envelope at the table. "Inside that envelope is all the documents and information that you wanted to know. Starting from the reason why your wife left you...and why she took your daughter with her." The investigator explained.

"What do you mean?" The old man's ears perked up as he mentioned something about his daughter. He felt a little anxious and worried when it comes to his lost daughter.

He didn't wait for him to answer and just read the files in his hand.

"Some of their past neighbors had told me about what happened the night that your wife died, Sir. They said that they were robbed but the police say that they weren't since everything in the house remained."

"If it wasn't robbery, then what was the motive?" He asked, her gaze still focused on the papers.

"Nobody knows. But it took me a couple of months to find out who was responsible for ruining your family's life. A man named Alexander Edwards was the mastermind of all of this mess."

This made James ball his fists and slam it on his desk. "I knew it! I knew right from the start that that prick was the reason! And all this time, I've trusted his daughter to help me when she knows where my daughter is all along. Damn it!" He growled and he almost crumpled the paper he was holding, good thing the investigator stopped him.

"You shouldn't ruin those papers, Sir, it could really help you against her." The old man sighed and fixed himself.

Now that he knows all, its time for him to make a move. He's going to get his daughter back and nothing would get in his way of doing so.

Later that night, Perrie was found inside her study, reading the documents that Niall gave her earlier. Her mind was full of thoughts and her heart was full of different emotions. She's losing her mind because of the secrets revealed to her that day.

She couldn't believe how cruel her father was. If she was only in the right mind when he did what he did, she would've stopped her. She could've prevented him from ruining the brunette's life and Jade would still have her mother with her. She could've met her as well.

But if she has prevented him from doing what he had done, she wouldn't even meet her wife at all. Afterall, her father was the reason why they got married in the first place. And now she knew the reason why. He wanted to bring the Thirlwall's company down to their knees so he could be the best, so he could be the most powerful. But now that he's gone, he had passed the task to Perrie and she hated him even more because of that.

She didn't care if she loses their company, she didn't care if they take away all their money...but she would be devastated if they would take Jade away. Just thinking about it made her heart shatter, what more could happen if it happens in real life, right?

But she knew that it's what he wanted now. Perrie knew that he'll take her away but she'll do everything to stop him. She won't give the brunette up without a fight.
