The next day came, and (y/n) knew she would have to drag herself outside or face an annoyed kuro throughout the day. She sighed and decided to actually try with her appearance today. It was a day that most people would consider special, and although she didn't really care, she decided to at least make this day a good one...

"Ugh.." kuro grumbled under his breath. He was looking at the weather forecast and unfortunately, they skies would be clear all day. "Damn.." he huffed.
"Hm? What's wrong?" (Y/n) asked as she walked out of her room.
Kuro sighed ready to complain as he looked back at the girl, but stopped when he saw her. She wore casual clothes that looked rather nice compared to what the vampire usually saw, and it took him by surprise momentarily.
"..nothing." He responded, not wanting to complain about going out when his eve had made some effort into it. And also the fact that it was technically his idea in the first place.
(Y/n) eyed him a bit to make sure before letting out a grin, "okay. Well, are you ready to go? I'm thinking we go eat first" she asked.
"I'm fine with that." Kuro said before switching off the tv. He stretched for a moment before taking his cat form and climbing onto (y/n)'s shoulder. The girl grinned and pet him a bit, before getting the rest of her things and heading out the door.

~

"Whats the matter, you're not hungry?" (Y/n) asked, grabbing Kuro's attention. He had seemed a bit off today and the girl couldn't tell why.
Kuro blinked realizing that his mind had wondered for a moment. He forced a yawn to dismiss his actions before looking down to the food in front of him. "No, I am... I was just looking around.." he said.
The girl hummed in doubt but let it go quickly as the two began to eat their meals. She couldn't help but notice, however, that Kuro seemed to be focusing on something else the whole time. She wanted to ask him about it, but decided to wait until they weren't in such a crowded place. They didn't spend too much time in the restaurant and left pretty soon after finishing up their meals.

"What now..?" Kuro's asked boredly from atop (y/n)'s shoulder.
She walked slowly down the sidewalk letting her eyes take in the sunny spring surroundings. "I dunno."
Kuro hummed in acknowledgment, and the girl glanced down to him. He still seemed off for some reason.
"Are you okay, kuro..?" She asked as she continued to walk down the streets.
"Hm?" He hummed. He hadn't payed attention.
The girl sighed quietly, "you seem.. distracted." She waited for a response and continued when she didn't get one, "what's wrong?"
"Oh- nothing, I just.. I'm just keeping an eye out I guess..." he mumbled.
"What are you looking for?" (Y/n) asked.
"Nothing..." he replied, he couldn't help but lean a bit closer to the girl's collar when he spoke, "just making sure we're safe..."
"Aw, you're so protective" she smirked and looked back down to him.
"Ahh..." he sighed, "yeah, don't talk about it..."
"But it's cute~"
"(Y/n)...~" he whined in protest.
"Okay okay I won't" she giggled and looked back up to her path. "God forbid someone besides me knows  you have a heart"
Kuro sighed and decided to ignore the girl's comment. The two enjoyed some silence for a moment until (y/n) gasped with an idea.
"Oh hey, I know what we can do" she grinned.
     "..what" he mumbled boredly.
"I'll show you when we get there" she replied.

(Y/n) walked for a few more minutes, down the street and into an open grassy area. Kuro looked around curiously, trying to figure out what they were doing there.
"We're at a park..?" He mumbled.
"Well yeah, it's spring. I wanted to check and see if the blossoms are still here..." she said as she walked towards an area with more trees. With a little more searching she eventually found a group of trees full with blossoms.
"Wow look at it.." she said in awe, gazing up at the thousands of cherry blossoms on the trees. A few slowly falling every so often. "It's pretty right?"
"Mhm.." kuro hummed boredly before hopping off (y/n)'s shoulder and changing form in the shade. He gazed around slightly, the blossoms were in fact a beautiful sight for him to see.
(Y/n) smiled at him and walked along the path of trees slowly, he followed beside her. She stopped at the last tree and sat beneath it in the grass. Kuro looked down to her and sighed before doing the same.
The girl looked around on the ground before picking something up and holding it out to him.
"Hm?" Kuro hummed; he wasn't paying complete attention at the time. He looked down to see what (y/n) was holding and saw a small pink flower in her hands. She gave a genuine smile as he took it between his fingers, and she laid back to look at the sky and trees.
Kuro listened as the girl let out a relaxed sigh. He gazed down at the small pink blossom and rubbed the petals between his fingers gently.
The two were quiet in the natural surroundings for several minutes until kuro finally turned his gaze back down to the girl.
"Just gonna lay there..?" He mumbled.
"Mhm.." the girl hummed with closed eyes. The sun shone on her skin keeping her warm. "It's not like we have anything else to do.. why not just hand out here.. relax."
Kuro sighed and watched (y/n) for a moment. Her expression, her looks. She seemed so pure just laying in this setting.
"I guess.." kuro mumbled in reply. He lifted his gaze from the beautiful girl and looked around once again.

Once (y/n) finally got restless she opened her eyes and sat up slowly. Kuro was still distracting himself so (y/n) decided to occupy herself as well, playing around with a few of the fallen blossoms she could gather.
Eventually, she played a little game she had thought up while kuro's focus was elsewhere. She tried to see how many flowers she could stack on him before he noticed.

"Dang it I need more..." she whispered to herself as she ran her fingers through the grass to find more blossoms.
"Hm..?" Kuro hummed, finally acknowledging the girl. He glanced down to her and caught sight of what she had been doing, and honestly didn't know how to respond. His leg that was near her was entirely covered in those pink petals, she managed to get a few of them in the creases of his jacket too. "Uhm..." he mumbled.
"Oof, sorry.." she grinned and sat up.
Kuro shook his head and sighed, "it's fine.."
The sky slowly began its change in hue, the sun was setting. The clouds reflected the orange and pink colors across the horizon.
(Y/n) gazed up at the scenery. "It's getting late... I guess we should head back, right..?"
Kuro hummed and stood, brushing himself clean of (y/n)'s blanket of flowers.
"The sun's out of the way, do you wanna walk?" (Y/n) asked, standing up as well.
He looked around and thought for a moment, "I guess..."
The girl smiled, and took the vampire's hand. Today had been fun and relaxing. It was a nice experience compared to everything else the two had been troubled with. (Y/n)'s 'special' day was not wasted.
"Good... now let's go before it gets dark"
