#1 - His Last Words

Chapter 1: His Last Words

He took a deep breath and spoke,

"I love you."

Three simple words that meant so much to them. To the Sky, storm, rain, thunder, sun, clouds and mist. The rain cried for what seemed like a thousand years, the storm roared in rage for a hundred more years and the thunder couldn't help but let out pained cries.

The sun didn't shine as happily as it could, the clouds turned dark covering the entire sky, and the mist couldn't help but hide its pain.

The Sky couldn't help but fall.

So the family replied,

"I miss you."

"..."

Pitter, patter.
Pitter, patter.

"When will you stop crying...?" A voice asked. "..."

The person couldn't help but chuckle sadly, facing away from the window and lied on bed. He covered his face with his arm and bit his lip, "Yeah...I can't stop too."

His eyes were red, his sleeves were wet and he felt so numb. He moves his arm away to stare at the ceiling. Training had been hell, but it made him forget about everything else, so he was a bit thankful for it. He would never forget though, someone had killed the person he loved, someone had taken the people he loved.

"Natsu, Tsuna..." The voice cracked, "W-What am I suppose to do...?"

He sat up and curled up into a ball. "I'm scared..."

He coughed, "I'm scared...I don't know anymore. What if I lose them too? Gokudera, Yamamoto, Ryohei-nii-san, Lambo, even Hibari-san and Mukuro-san..." He covered his face with his knees, taking deep breaths, "...I'm thinking...Should I regret meeting Rebor-"

He shakes his head. "No, I don't regret it. I don't think I ever will..."

He turns his head to the door and stares quietly.

Ever since the event, he had been searching far and wide with his guardians, trying to find even one single clue to Tsuna's killer. He was shot, so there had to be a person to pull the trigger obviously.

But they could never find a single trace.

Him, Gokudera, Yamamoto, Ryohei and Hibari continued to go to school normally, although Hibari had not interacted with the others as much as before. Lambo continued to play with I-pin at home, but they never felt content.

Mukuro had disappeared, along with Chrome, Ken and Chikusa.

They would still run into each other at times though.

But even if they were all together, they never felt complete.

"Who took you...?" He asked, "It's annoying that I've asked that question a million times, hasn't it?"

He sighed and dropped back onto his bed. He thought about the past, everything that had happened. When him, Natsu and Tsuna were always playing together, when they grew up and parted.  The day when Reborn arrived to kick reality into his head.

So many wonderful memories made him smile and forget once more.

When he made new friends, like when Gokudera arrived. At first, he got annoyed a bit by him, but they grew closer and closer as time passes by. Gokudera was an extremely loyal friend that will always be by his side.

And Yamamoto, the guy who always knows how to put a smile on everyone's faces. He was strong, definitely and he was always there for him.

So many friends, and even if it was only for a short time. It felt like they were family, no, they are family.
