"You have to talk to him." Carrie said as she handed me a plate of food.
"I will." I said, adding some syrup to my pancakes.
"When?" Kianna asked, taking a seat next to me.
"I don't know."
"Today works." Carrie said.
"Matter fact," Kianna said. "when you finish eating."
"Fine." I said, rolling my eyes.
I haven't spoken to Dave since our argument last night and the girls are pressuring me to. I was already gonna go see him but I didn't know when.
"So, not to make you upset or anything but who was that girl?" Carrie asked.
"Keisha." I said. "Dave's ex."
"Did he ever tell you the story of their relationship?" Kianna asked.
"Yeah, he told me a couple days ago."
"So, you know about their child?"
"I'm sorry, what?" I said, almost choking on my food.
"He didn't tell you that part." She said.
"No, he didn't."
I lost my appetite so my plan to see Dave was gonna happen now. Getting down from the bar stool, I walked upstairs and got dressed. To say I was bothered was an understatement.

Once I was ready, I slid my phone in my pocket and grabbed my keys before going back downstairs.
"I'll be back." I said, walking out.
Hopping in my vehicle, I started it up and backed out of Carrie's yard. I decided to play some music while driving so I hit the shuffle button on my playlist. Xscape's Who Can I Run To started playing and it kinda set my emotional ass mood.
As I stand here contemplating On the right thing to decide Will I take the wrong direction All my life, where will I go What lies ahead of me?
