A day later
I sat on the bleachers, sighing. I just saw Travis talking to another girl.
Was he flirting with her?
Was he asking her to something?
I just could never know.
I really tried to take Dante's advice, I do, but I'm always just so nervous.
But today, I tried to make it happen.
I took a deep breath and walked over to Travis, who was on the other side of the field. The closer I approached, the more I herd my heart thump.
It would all be worth it.
"Hey Travis!" I smiled and waved.
"Hey Y/N, how's it going?" He answered back, giving me his attention.
"Great! But... I wanted to ask you something."
Travis nodded and let me sit next to him.

"I wanted to ask you, if... you could- I mean, only if you wanted to... to the park across from here- we can change the location, I s-"
"Sure."
I stopped my embarrassing rant in shock.
He actually said yes?!
"Really?" I asked, making sure.
"Of course. I have nothing better to do." Travis smiled at me.
I felt all the butterflies in my stomach double and flutter all around in my overjoyed body.
"Wow, okay, thanks!"
"Welcome."
I skipped across the field, all giddy-like.
He said yes, he said yes, he said yes said yes said yes!
"What are you so happy about?"
I turned to the sound.
Him.
"Nothing that matters to you." I scowled, staring straight into his eyes and into his dark soul.
"I should know, I'm your brother."
"You said not to act like one, and you haven't been one lately."
I grinned victoriously and walked away from him and into the school to get my bag for next period.
This is gonna be fun.
