We're focussing on the first few lyrics-

We've waited so
Damn long, we're sick and tired
I won't leave any doubt or stone
Unturned
I've got a collar full of chemistry
From your company
So maybe tonight I'll be the libertine

I know that Brendon and Dallon wrote this song and it could be about there wifes, but it's confussing.

"We've waited so damn long, we're so sick and tired," the first part of the song, it talks about waiting so damn long, making it seem that Dallon and Brendon have been waiting for years. Which, if you look back at both of their marriages or look back at when they were dating their wives: Brendon waited 8 months for Sarah to become single, not years, and Dallon said this on his and Breezy's anniversary:

Now, seeing that Dallon's friend kinda hooked them up, it didn't seem like years again. And for Ryden, it did take years. And in the lyric, it said "we've waited" if this song is about Sarah and Brezzy, first of all: Sarah was with someone while Brendon was waiting for her to be single, she wouldn't be waiting to break up with that male, so it wouldn't be we've waited and as for Dallon and Brezzy: they don't seem like they waited that long, proably months they waited like Brendon did for Sarah. So it doesn't seem like either of them waited for their then girlfriends now wifes🤔

And seeing that the first lyrics say "we've waited so damn long, we're sick and tired," they're saying it like everyone would be if they've waited years: sick and tired of waiting for that person or thing.

"So maybe tonight I'll be the libertine." Libertine meaning:

Okay, basically libertine means: a man or woman behaves like nothing matters

Okay, basically libertine means: a man or woman behaves like nothing matters. Kinda. So maybe maybe not, the person that wrote this lyric [Brendon or Dallon] doesn't care about what happens if he tells the truth about their love. Which can't be for Sarah or Brezzy, being that: Brendon and Dallon can obviously saying out loud that they love their wives (and they do) as for Ryan and Brendon: it can't happen. So maybe, maybe not, Brendon (or Dallon, eh) is saying that he won't care if he says it out loud. Saying that he loves Ryan. Because he's the libertine.
