First of all, I love this song.

Okay so alomost all the songs in Take A Vacation! By The Young Veins having an explaining: some songs were written by Ryan and Jon while they were still in Panic! And a few songs from Take A Vacation! Was ment for their third album but of course they didn't make it that far, The Other Girl is about Ryan's and Zee's affair I think, Cape Town is about what kinda went down in that town and when Ryan found a girl, Lie To The Truth is about one of Ryan's ex's, and the rest of the songs [like I said] were ment for the third album and a few were about the Panic! Split. Defiance was written by Ryan and Jon while they were still in Panic! At The Disco.

Incase you don't know: Defiance is a brige [we found a brige of a place we've never been] that Ryan, Jon, Spencer, and Jon were all on together:

And I think, Ryan or Jon said that they made this song while on the brige, so there you go.

Now, I don't know when Ryan and Keltie broke up (seeing that on Goggle, the blogs or searches that say "Ryan Ross and Keltie Colleen broke up" were made on 2008 or 2009, so in my conclusions, they broke up around 2008) and Ryan started dating Z Berg around The Young Veins era (the end of 2009 and the start and end of 2010) but since Ryan and Jon made this song while in Panic! Still (maybe wrote it around 2008) it cannot be about Z or Keltie if I'm right. It could be about Jon's girlfriend at that time [now wife] but Jon never admitted that any of The Young Veins songs are for his wife, so who could it be about? There's obviously love in this song: "Their love could never live again but they found a way to make it stay," "I fell in love again.." so what person did Ryan may or may not have been in love with? And seeing that while I was searching, I found this:

Yes apparently but, where do you even think about Ryan being in the arms of a man? Unless it was true. Or unless someone was trying to start a dumb rumor.

""Why can't we be friends?" This kind of thing always happens I feel in love again," this part, can be Ryan's point of view for Brendon. Because, seeing that Ryan was really the one to back away first from any kiss from Brendon, could have been Ryan not falling in love: Brendon was the one to fall in love first. And also seeing: if Ryan did fall in love first, why would he back away?(unless he didn't wanna start anything) but now if you look back at the two era's that Ryan and Jon were in: in the AFYCSO era, Ryan would back away from Bren BUT in the P.O. era, he would take it or give a kiss to Brendon too. So, I think Ryan wasn't the one to fall in love first (it was Brendon) and then Ryan fell in love.
