Diana Giraldo and Andrew Giraldo were just like any siblings would be with their younger sibling. They'd make up stories about how Luna was found in a trashcan, or try to scare her by telling her there was a monster under the bed. When things like this happened, it usually ended with Luna crying to their mom about it, and Diana and Andrew getting a scolding for it. Victoria always seemed to say "I'm not mad at you, I'm disappointed" knowing it'd hit the kids hard, and of course, it always did.

Luna never understood why her mom usually opted for making them feel bad, rather than just yelling at them like usual. But sitting in Peter Parker's empty bedroom in her vintage dress, she knew exactly how her mom felt. Because like Diana and Andrew, he did something stupid and hurt her, and she couldn't help but be disappointed rather than mad. Disappointed that he hurt her without even realizing it, probably having the time of his life swinging around while she was waiting for him to appear in the crowd of people, just for him to never show.

Luna sighed as she heard the front door open, Peter's voice following. She'd been planning since she left school what she was going to say to him, and now that it was time to do so, she didn't know if she wanted to. Because it wasn't going to be nice, there was no way for it to be nice when she was feeling as deflated as she was.

She got to her feet when the bedroom door opened, Peter tugging the headphone out of his ear in surprise. All he had to do was look at her outfit to realize why she was there, and he was immediately frozen to his spot. Luna couldn't help but frown at the sight of the red poking out of his bookbag, confirming what she already knew, he was too busy being him to see her.

"The reviews were positive," She muttered, eyes darting between his in search of something, anything, that'd tell her what he was thinking. "That's if you care," She shrugged, "I'd understand if you don't."

That sentence was able to snap Peter out of it, and he took another step into the room, shutting the door behind him. He was quick to drop his bag onto the floor, advancing towards his girlfriend quickly. With his hands settling on her hips, he frowned, "Luna, I'm so sorry."

"You forgot," She breathed, taking a step back, his hands falling back to his sides. "You forgot, Peter."

"I know, I know," He rushed out, his hand running through his hair, "why didn't you call me or something?"

Luna blinked. "I did. So did Ned, Liz, Mia, and my brother."

Peter's face fell. "Oh." Luna shot him a look, and Peter swallowed heavily. "Well, I was.. you know."

Luna's lips parted in surprise, and she had to force back the tears that threatened to spill over. "Are you serious? You're using that as an excuse?"

Peter frowned, reaching out for her again, "Luna-"

Luna pushed his hands away from her, shaking her head. "Don't Luna me. This was one of the most important days for me Peter, I filled the auditorium and got a standing ovation, for my first play. Do you understand how big that is for me? I wanted my boyfriend there to see it, but no, he couldn't take just one day off to support me." She released a shaky sigh. "You... you disappointed me Peter."

There it was. The word that easily broke anyone it was spoken to. The hurt that flooded his features was very obvious, and Luna almost regretted speaking the words to him, but it was the truth. And she knew she couldn't lie this time.

"I continuously support you. I get over the fact that you miss events, because I know you love what you do, and I don't want to be the one to stand in the way of that. But just this once, I wanted you to support me like I do with you. But you couldn't." Peter opened his mouth, but quickly shut it when Luna began shaking her head. "Lately it seems like you're Spider-Man before you're Peter Parker, and that isn't how it should be."

"Luna, it won't happen again." Peter grabbed onto her hands before she could withdraw from his touch, eyes pleading. He knew he messed up, he could see it the way she refused to meet his eye. He hurt her, and that was the one thing he'd told himself he wouldn't do. And she was disappointed in him, that was the worst part of them all. The girl who'd been nothing but supportive of him and made it her duty to make sure he was filled with confidence, was disappointed in him.

Luna let out a bitter chuckle, lifting her head to the ceiling as tears welled in her eyes once more. She finally met his eyes, and Peter's heart ached as the sight of her glassy eyes. "I'm your girlfriend," She sighed, blinking rapidly in hopes to rid her of the tears, "but it was only a matter of time before this all became too much for me."

"Before what became too much, Luna?" He asked quietly, afraid almost, afraid of hearing the truth.

"This double life you're living Peter," She mumbled. "I'm losing you to the part of your life that I'm not apart of."

"Luna... why does this sound like a break up?" He asked, and when she took her hands out of his, his heart plummeted to his stomach. The action was enough confirm at it is, and as much as it hurt him, he couldn't blame her.

He knew of his actions. It was exactly why he brought it up to her, he knew he wasn't spending nearly enough time on his girlfriend as a normal boyfriend should be. But that's what made it so bad. He knew of his problem, yet didn't make an effort to change it. Sure, she said she was okay with it, but it's not like she would have told him if she wasn't. Luna was understanding, and he hated it. She would never throw a fit that would make him feel less bad about his wrongdoings, she'd give him a small smile and whisper an 'it's okay' only making his guilt intensify.

So if she came here to break his heart in two, then he wouldn't blame her. Because at this point, she deserved that much. She deserved to hurt him like he hurt her.

"It's not," Luna sighed, her lips tugging into a frown at the surprise on his face. He expected her to break up with her then and there. "But," and once again, the hurt look returned to his expression, "I know when I need to take a break from someone important to me, and I think right now, I do." Peter's face fell completely as she began making her way to the door while he watched helplessly. Luna swallowed, turning back to him with her hand rested on the doorknob. She gestured to the discarded bookbag, a red sleeve hanging out of it, "You should try it sometime."

With that, Luna left the room, leaving a heartbroken Peter behind. She bid May a farewell with a forced smile, the woman missing the tears that had filled the girl's eyes as she exited the apartment. Andrew frowned as his sister got into the car without a word, gesturing for him to start the car as she kept her head down. Neither said a word the entire ride, and Andrew swore his heart broke in two when he heard his little sister sniffle, her head still ducked down.

"Luna..."

"I don't wanna talk about it," She whispered, tugging the sleeve of her sweater over her hands to rub at her eyes. "Just... let me cry, okay?" And he did. He let her cry the entire ride home, and he hated every second of it.
