To say the day was bad was an understatement. Even the most optimistic person would be cracked by the events of Luna's day, making her question how she made it through the day without having another breakdown. She was forced to go to class after crying on Liz for at least twenty minutes, causing lots of eyes to turn to the girl with bloodshot eyes. It didn't help that people, much like Flash, had already assumed the fate of her relationship and had began eyeing Peter, as if he were the cause for her tears.

Thankfully enough, Peter knew better than to approach the girl in Spanish. Her head had remained ducked down the entire period, pink stained lips tugged into a frown as she tried to focus on anything but the million thoughts passing through her mind. She could feel Peter's eyes on her constantly, making it much harder to not cry than she thought.

Luna sighed after reading the sentence for the third time, the words still not sticking. She couldn't help but continue to glance at her window, knowing a certain boy would usually be there at this time of night. It was around this time that Peter would appear at her window, wearing that smile that Luna always looked forward to. He'd tell her about what he'd done that night, making things sound much more dramatic than how they went down, and she'd listen with a smile that matched his own. She'd grown so used to their routine that it felt weird to break it.

Her head snapped to her bedroom door as there was a knock, the door opening without her even giving a response. Victoria poked her head in, a smile playing on her lips. "Were you planning on eating?" She asked quietly, stepping into the room. "It's just you and I tonight."

Luna frowned, "Why?"

"Well, I took off–"

"You don't need to take off work every time I'm having boy trouble," Luna cut her off, Victoria's face falling. "That's why you did it, didn't you? You knew I'd be seeing Peter today and feel like crap when I came back. Well, believe it or not, he wasn't the cause of my bad day."

Victoria sat herself beside Luna, Luna scooting over to make room for her mother. "You don't wanna talk about it?"

There was no easy way to tell your mother that the man who tried to take advantage of you was the father of the girl who you invited into your home with open arms. Victoria had taken a liking to Danielle, which is why she was shocked when Luna told her she began dating Peter so soon after. How could she tell her that Danielle was his daughter? "No," She sighed, shutting the book that rested on her legs. "I'll take that dinner though."

Within just twenty minutes of being with Victoria, she could already feel her mood lifting. Even if they were just sitting beside each other on the couch, Victoria making Luna explain every crude joke uttered on the tv, Luna couldn't help but feel a little happier than she did before.
