Dil Ki Dard.

(Pain Of The Heart.)

The one one who doesn't understand your silence, will not understand your words either.

Loud chatter and laughter could be heard as they munched the delicious food prepared by his puphi.

The cousins laughed and joked and he joined them, for a while his mind drifted away from his worries.

It was already his third week in Lahore and he was really enjoying this much needed holiday.

His parents had informed him about Daaniyaal's wedding and he had tried to tell them to do a proper background check on the family before proceeding, but they had refused insisting that it was a good family.

He wasn't going to beg Daaniyaal to make wise decisions, he couldn't really do much. He was too far away to do some snooping and he didn't want to cut short his holiday either, he just hoped that Daaniyaal took heed to what he said before he left. He had played his part by warning him.

After they had devoured their meal and performed Asr Salaah, they relaxed on the chath, enjoying the cool breeze after a long and immensely hot day.

One thing he wouldn't miss when he returned to South Africa was the intense heat here.

It was probably the worst time to visit, as it was the peak of summer, but his visit was long overdue and his business was not so busy this time of the year, so he didn't prolong it any further.

His puphi's daughter, Manaal climbed up the stairs, holding a tray of kulfis.

She was clad in a pretty peach and off white shalwaar kameez with intricate patterns running along the edge of the kameez as well as the sleeves. Pearls were scattered across the sleeves and strings of tiny pearls dangled from the bottom of the kameez. The peach chiffon dupatta was draped around her head loosely, pearls decorated both ends of the dupatta, giving it an elegant look. She wore an off white flat sandal, with cute little peach flowers on the straps.

A few wisps of her light brown hair that escaped her scarf, framed her heart shaped face. Each of her large, round eyes were lined with a thick line of surma, bringing out her light brown eyes. Her fair cheeks permanently had a red tint on them, she had slightly plump lips and a cute, but slightly sharp nose. A tiny mother of pearl nose pin on the left side of her nose glinted in the sun.

Waqaas lifted his gaze when he heard her sandals stepping closer to him.

The nose ring really suited her, he thought she had the perfect nose for it.

He wondered how Naailah would look with one. He always thought nose pins made some women look prettier.

She stopped by Waqaas first, offering him one, which he took, flashing her a small smile.

She returned a bashful smile, then offered the rest of her cousins.

Their cousins observed the whole exchange, then began hooting and whistling, teasing the two to no end.
