Aankho Ki Sharmindagi.

Bashfullness Of The Eyes.

"Biwi ka kad miyaa se chota hi hona chaahiye,
Kyu ke jab baat karni ho,
To biwi sar utaa ke baat karey,
Aur miyaa sar jukaa ke baat suney."

A wife should be shorter than her husband,
So that when they need to talk,
The wife will lift her head and speak ,
And the husband will lower his head and listen.

(A/N : Obviously it's not necessary for a woman to  be shorter than her husband, I just put this here because I think it's  so cute...
The next time someone teases me about being so much shorter than my husband, I will have a good comeback.🙄)

Muhabbat kisi aise shakhs ko talaash nahi karte,

Jis ke saath rahaa jaae,

Muhabbat to, kisi asie shakhs ko talaash karte,

Jis ke beghair naa rahaa jae.

(Do not search for love with a person whom you can live with,
But search to love such a person, whom you cannot live without.)

"Wow what deep words!"

Bushra's cousin, Faryal commented, as she scrolled through the urdu quotes on her phone.

She was sprawled on Bushra's bed,  not bothering about her fancy outfit getting creased or her hairstyle being spoilt.

Bushra snorted from her place.

"Keep reading those quotes and live in a fantasy my dear!"

The beautician shot  her a look of disapproval.

"No talking while I'm busy!"

Faryal rolled her eyes and continued reading. She was a hopeless romantic, no one could snatch her away from building castles and dreaming fairy tales.

"Muhabbat kitni haseen hain.."

(How beautiful is love...)

"Oi utto larki, kya haal banaa rakhaa hain tum ne? Nikaah hone wali hain aur tu aise bet kar kapre aur baal kharaab kar rahy hain!"
(Hey girl! What condition you are in, the Nikaah is going to take place soon and you're spoiling your clothes and hair by sitting like this!)

Faryals mother scolded, pulling her upright by her wrist.

Faryal groaned.

"Haan Ammi, to kya huwa.
Meri shaadi to nahi hain na, mujhe kon dekhega!"
(Yes mum, so then what will happen?
It's not my wedding, who's going to look at me?)

Her mother smacked her forehead in frustration.

"Arey tu to kabhi bhi nahi sudre gi!
Koi aqal bhi hain tumhe?
Zaroor log dekhenge tumhe, apne pote ke liye biwi dundenge!"
(Oh, you will never come right!
Do you have any scruples?
Poeple will definitely look at you, they will be searching for wives for their grandsons.)

She pulled her face and folded her arms across her chest stubbornly.

"Mujhe unki koi parwa nahi.
Main apni pasand ki shaadi karungi, Love Marriage!"
(I don't care about them. I'm going to marry whoever I like, a love marriage!)
