Chapter 24

When I opened my eyes again, I've returned to my senses.

This is damn war, Behati.

It's so ironic that we are inside a single world, but we have different kinds of beliefs.

Of course, there would be different beliefs, but should we really end with wars and endless death? But to ask peace and contentment from anyone would be impossible, because greed has been part of human life.

And it's hard to accept that most of them are leaders, who looked proudly of themselves, while trying to live comfortably without thinking about those people who needed their better leadership the most.

Those fool leaders—the reason for this war.

We should start putting an end to this.

If I was born for survival, then these enemies should start praying for their lives if they were born to be one of my enemies. Because I will survive no matter what.

"The pain, hatred, and the courage to survive again, Pedro," I answered him.

"Then I consider you as the most beautiful product of pain, hatred, and courage." He replied without looking back at me.

"Thank you for that, Sir."

"I can no longer accept thank you from you, Lt. Monzanto. Would you like to offer other alternatives?"

Tumaas ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya.

How can he easily flirt with me in this kind of situation? It could be his talent.

"Negative."

He chuckled.

I started locating and identifying the exact number of planes that we still had in our team. We need to coordinate with Commander Thanh San.

"But you told me that I was improving." He laughed.

Nawala ang tingin ko sa monitor. Seriously?

"You are just imagining things, Commander Armstrong."

"Here we go again, me and my imagination."

I shrugged my shoulder and continued with my controls. We need to wait for another three minutes to complete the battle formation. But with that given time, I know that the enemies would have an idea about our next move.
