The Doctor's POV-

"But there was only one Angel on the ship. Just the one, I swear." River says frantically, looking at whatever gadget she currently has in her possession.

"Could they have been here already?" Bailee asks anxiously, chewing on her lip as she did when she was nervous. It gave her a sort of lost look, and she did look kind of cute. I shake my head because now is not the time to have the thoughts that were slowly creeping their way into my mind.

"The Aplans. What happened? How did they die out?" I ask around, already knowing what the answer will be.

"Nobody knows." River replies.

"We know." I look around at everyone gravely.

"They don't look like Angels." Father Octavian comments.

"And they're not fast. You said they were fast. They should have had us by now." Amy adds.

"Look at them. They're dying, losing their form. They must have been down here for centuries, starving." I observe, as I look around us.

"Losing their image?" Bailee asks.

"And their image is their power." Then it hits me, then Angels plan, what's been happening all around us without us knowing. "Power. Power!"

"Doctor?" Bailee asks in concern.

"Don't you see? All that radiation spilling out the drive burn. The crash of the Byzantium wasn't an accident, it was a rescue mission for the Angels. We're in the middle of an army, and it's waking up." I cry, looking around for an exit.

"We need to get out of here fast." River states, her jaw set. Father Octavian gets out his walkie talkie and raises it to his mouth.

"Bob, Angelo, Christian, come in, please. Any of you, come in." He says hurriedly.

"It's Bob, sir. Sorry, sir." Came the reply.

"Bob, are Angelo and Christian with you? All the statues are active. I repeat, all the statues are active." Father Octavian warns.

"I know, sir. Angelo and Christian are dead, sir. The statues killed them, sir." Everyone looks round at this news, and I stride over and grab the walkie talkie.

"Bob, Sacred Bob, it's me, the Doctor." I announce down the device, ignoring the scandalised looks that Father Octavian is giving me.

"I'm talking to.." He begins, but I interrupt him, still focused on Bob.

"Where are you now?"

"I'm talking to my.." Father Octavian begins again.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, shut up." I turn to him, not in the least bit concerned wether I offend him or not.

"I'm on my way up to you, sir. I'm homing in on your signal." Bob tells me down the walkie talkie.

"Ah, well done, Bob. Scared keeps you fast. Told you, didn't I. Your friends, Bob. What did the Angel do to them?" I ask cautiously.

"Snapped their necks, sir." That's not right.

"That's odd. That's not how the Angels kill you. They displace you in time. Unless they needed the bodies for something." I muse.

"Bob, did you check their data packs for vital signs? We may be able to initiate a rescue plan." Father Octavian shouts over my shoulder, amidst his futile attempts to regain control over his walkie talkie.

"Oh, don't be an idiot. The Angels don't leave you alive. Bob, keep running. But tell me, how did you escape?" I wondered this ever since he said his friends died. But then my question is answered.
