The Doctors POV-

I hear chanting as I'm sat in the giant pink cake that is being wheeled out into the pub where Rory's stag do is being held. "Out. Out. Out." His friends shout, and I jump up and burst out of the fake cake, grinning, as silence falls.

"Rory! That's a relief. I thought I'd burst out of the wrong cake, again." I wink at him. "That reminds me, there's a girl standing outside in a bikini. Could someone let her in and give her a jumper? Lucy? Lovely girl. Diabetic." I clap my hands together, ready to get down to business and discuss the matter at hand. "Now then, Rory. We need to talk about your fiancé. She tried to kiss me. Tell you what, though. You're a lucky man. She's a great kisser." I say. The silence seems to get heavier, as someone drops their beer glass, causing it to smash on the floor. I look around at everyone's disbelieving stares and grimace. "Funny how you can say something in your head and it sounds fine."

Bailee's POV-

We're all sat in the TARDIS, The Doctor hanging underneath the console platform, doing some welding. Rory and Amy are wandering around, while I sit next to The Doctor, just content to watch him.

"Oh, the life out there, it dazzles. I mean, it blinds you to the things that are important. I've seen it devour relationships and plans. It's meant to do that. Because for one person to have seen all that, to taste the glory and then go back, it will tear you apart. So, I'm sending you somewhere, together." He says, grinning upside down at Amy and Rory.

"Whoa. What, like a date?" Amy looks excited.

"Anywhere you want. Any time you want. One condition. It has to be amazing. The Moulin Rouge in 1890. The first Olympic Games. Think of it as a wedding present, because it's either this or tokens." I smirk, as Amy opens her mouth to say she wants the tokens. But then The Doctor looks at Rory's face. "It's a lot to take in, isn't it? Tiny box, huge room inside. What's that about? Let me explain." He starts, but is interrupted.

"It's another dimension." Rory says intelligently, smirking.

"It's basically another dimension." The Doctor agrees, then does a double take. "What?"

Rory grins sheepishly. "After what happened with Prisoner Zero, I've been reading up on all the latest scientific theories. FTL travel, parallel universes." The Doctor looks impressed, but dejected.

"I like the bit when someone says it's bigger on the inside. I always look forward to that." He whines. I grin at him, sometimes you just couldn't tell the difference between a stroppy seven year old and a nine hundred year old alien.

"So, this date. I'm kind of done with running down corridors. What do you think, Rory?" Amy muses, but I know her, she's only asking Rory's opinion to be polite. She always gets her own way.

"How about somewhere romantic?" The Doctor asks, jumping down from his bat like position and running up to the console, pressing buttons and pulling levers.

We materialise, and The Doctor flings open the TARDIS doors.

"Venice." The Doctor announces happily. We are greeted with a view across a very wide canal with moored gondolas. "Venezia. La Serenissima. Impossible city. Preposterous city. Founded by refugees running from Attila the Hun. It was just a collection of little wooden huts in the middle of the marsh, but became one of the most powerful cities in the world. Constantly being invaded, constantly flooding, constantly just beautiful. Ah, you got to love Venice. So many people did. Byron, Napoleon, Casanova. Ooo, that reminds me. 1580. That's all right. Casanova doesn't get born for a hundred and forty five years. Don't want to run into him. I owe him a chicken." The Doctor rambles on.
