Chapter Ten~

Finally the private jet landed at the airport. I thanked the poor agent that had to fly us out. I hated riding in planes, but it was probably diffrent for the agent because it was his job and all. I didn't know if Loki could tell how excited I was. I tried to be cool, but thinking of all the activites we would be doing all week, made me want to scream with excitment. Phil Coulson told me to watch out for Loki in public, because people might recognize him, so Loki was wearing the first layer of his asgardian outfit which was a long black sleeve shirt and black leather pants, to maybe not attract as much attention to himself as he could have. We hurried threw the airport, keeping our heads low, and not making eye contact.

"I better not get stabbed again." Joked Loki as I called for a cab. I couldn't help to smile. I loved it when he joked and played around. It showed a diffrent side of him, one that was a bit more pleasent. Finally a yellow cab came, with a tired and old looking cab driver. Loki and I climbed in the backseat as I told the driver my address, and thirty minuets later, we pulled up to my old looking apartments. I held the door open for Loki, thanked the driver, and payed him for the ride. Loki was silent, looking around as we stood in front of the apartment complex, taking everything in.

"What do you think?" I laughed and asked Loki. The apartments could have been nicer. They were a faded blue, with the paint chipping at the corners. The grass was overgrown and upset dogs barked from the inside of rooms. We turned the corner meeting the door of my apartment. I pulled out my key and turned it, letting us inside.

"Nice?" He tried to answer postitivly. It was a little rough. I led him inside and he seemed unimpressed with the small apartment. There was a little kitchen to the left of the door, a tiny couch in the tinier living room, and two bedroom doors on the opposite side of the kitchen. As Loki looked around and tried to see something positive in this, I went to the counter and checked my phone voicemail as usuall when I came home. Holy crap. 102 missed calls, 78 voice messages. Crap. So no doubt everyone knew about me and my abilities now. This will be fun explaning it. I exhailed and flopped down on the tiny couch. I let out a breath of smoke, at least making me feel a little better, as Loki watched me. I patted on the seat next to me, for him to sit.

"So does anyone else accompany you in this...home...?" Loki asked as he sat and smiled when he said the word home because it was so far from it.

"Um yeah, Olivia. But I doubt we'll see her, she travels a lot." I explained. He nodded his head slowly in response. I really hated to admit it, but he looked so handsome with the light from the nearby window. The features on his face was so sharp, with his jaw and cheekbones. I loved that about his appearence. My thoughts were then interupted by a doorbell. Loki looked at me, confused, as I slowly stood up and walked to the door. Who could that be? We haven't been here for more then 10 minuets. I looked threw the peephole in the door, and dreaded what I saw. All of my friends were huddled around the door, very impatient for me to open it.

"CRAP" I whispered. I had zero intention in talking to them. I mean, don't get me wrong, they're my friends and all, but I act, talk and am interested in diffrent things. They loved to shop and gossip, and I loved to fight.

"What?! Who's there?" Loki asked, walking towards me. I turned around and faced Loki, not wanting to open the door, but knowing I'd have to sooner or later.

"Okay... It's all my old friends, coming to ask me a million questions. They didn't know I could breath fire and stuff before they saw me on the news in New York. And they will probably be wondering who you are." I warned him.

"That's it? That's what your worried about?" Loki asked laughing at me. The side of me that breathed fire and fought fiercly was the only side he's ever known. As for my friends, it was diffrent. There was another knock.

"Ah... You'll see." I whispered as I opened the door. I imidiatly regretted it as everyone started screaming and demanding questions from me. About six girls came and swarmed in my apartment before I could say a single word. They ran over the couch and flipped off their shoes and did not stop talking. Loki glanced at me, as if he was telling me he didn't like this either. I smiled at his reaction, and joined all the girls in the small living room. After everyone quieted down, Savannah asked me the questions first.

"OKAY. WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE NOT ANSWERING OUR CALLS AND GOING TO NEW YORK?! We are so confused!" I was speechless. I saw this coming, but they asked me so many things way too fast. Loki was trying not to laugh as he stood behind me. I knew he thought all of this was ridiculous.

"Wha- I..." But I was interupted by more questions.

"Wait and who is that man?! Can he breath fire too!? " Abbey asked as if Loki wasn't standing behind me. I looked at Loki and he raised his eyesbrows, waiting for me to talk. My friends were so clueless.

"What? Um okay.... I can controll fire. Its true. I was invited to New York to fight. Um.. And this is.." I was wondering if I should say his real name or not. Oh well. "This is Loki." I pointed at him as he smiled. This must seem so stupid to him. All these hyper friends, asking us a million questions.

"Is that who I think he is?!" Hayley shouted at me. All the girls were wondering the same thing. Loki smiled even more. He was loving this.

"Ummm..... who do you think he is?" I asked, maybe we were thinking diffrent things. I hoped we were thinking diffrent things.

"That is!!! That's the man who you were fighting against!! He's a murderer!! He tried to take over New York!!!" Kate shouted at me. Wonderful. Okay they really did know who he was. I couldn't help but to laugh at them though. Me and Loki both. There were still so hyper and loud. How were we friends? I exhailed a breath of fire on accedent, which made them all jump and back up away from me. It just made me and Loki laugh a little more.

"Okay, yeah. This is the same Loki that tried to take over New York. But...." I didn't know where I was going with that. What was I supposed to say? That he killed more than 80 million people, but he's good now don't worry! After I thought about that, I realized how bad this was. Too late now though.

"Don't tell me you the HE, is living with you now?! Is that why he's here?" Shouted Kate pointing to Loki.

"You mortals are so over dramatic." Spoke Loki, sounding annoyed. I smiled at his comment as the girls looked offended.

"Okay, okay. Here's everything. Loki is staying with me till Friday, then we are going back to New York to fight his former army. I- uh- it's a long story. Anyway, don't worry about us. It's fine. Just, don't go around telling anyone! Please! I don't want everyone knowing about Loki." I knew the last request was pointless, none of them could keep a secret. They looked horified at me.

"I'm calling the police. He'll kill us!!!" Shouted Abbey running out my door. Oh gosh, this is awful.

"No Abbey, no!!! It's fine!!" I reached for her phone, but she blocked me with her fore arm. I knew the police wouldn't understand about Loki. I would have to have S.H.I.E.L.D. come down and explain everything and then they would make Loki leave and go back to the floating fortress, and he hasen't even been here for an hour.
