Chapter 8: Loki

Kaylee:

Thor took a bite of the fish and then another. He looked up at me smiling with that gorgeous face of his.

I took a bite of my chip and smiled back at him. I can’t get over how I ended up in this position. I actually really like him.

“What’s wrong?”

“I was just thinking.” I smirked at him.

“Thinking about what?” he drank some of his coke.

“I was thinking that I really like you.”

He grinned, “Good.”

“Good?” I raised my brow at him.

“I need to ask you something and I want you to consider it.”

“What?” I furrowed my brows confused.

“Will you come with me to Asgard?”

“What?” I exclaimed loudly, “Are you serious?”

“I want you to come and talk to my father.”

“Oh no, I don’t think I’m ready to meet the all father.”

“Kaylee I don’t have much time until my father gets impatient and sends reinforcements to get me, I came here disobeying him and Sif was sent to get me,” he exhaled, “if I don’t return soon it won’t be pretty for any of us.”

“So what? You’re saying Odin might smite me or something?”

“Who knows with his temper.” He took my hand in his, “Please come with me, you can bring Renee and William with you if you’d like.”

I gaped at him in shock, “I can’t just go.”

“What’s stopping you? You’re semester is over, you won’t miss any of your lessons.”

“Yes but I don’t know if I’m ready.”

“If you weren’t I wouldn’t ask you to.”

I sighed, “This goes against everything I know.”

“But you could find answers to questions you’ve been asking all along.”

“Really?” I raised my brow at him, “Like what?”

“Come and you’ll find out.”

I looked at him studying his face for a while and I’m taken back to the first time we met on the lawn. It’s that same expression he had when he got me to agree to go out with him.

I exhaled, “When?”

“Tonight.”

I tilted my head questioning.

“Trust me.”

I sighed, “Okay.”

Suddenly there’s a loud explosion and all of the windows in the restaurant are shattered. People scream and run outside.

I glanced over to Thor who jumped out of his chair looking straight ahead behind me. I turned in my chair to see a guy wearing a golden horned helmet, a caped outfit and a scepter in his hands.

“Loki!” Thor shouted at him.

“Loki?” I asked confused.

He grinned at me, “So you’re Kaylee.”

“Stay away from her.” Thor warned.

“What? Not going to introduce her to your brother?”

He smiled slyly walking towards me.

“Hello.” He smirked.

Thor glared at him. “I won’t tell you again Loki.”

“Tell me what? Not to come to close to your human girl? To think father grants you everything and you would throw it all away to come here.”

Thor growled at him, “What do you want?”

“The same I always want.” He smirked.

Sif ran up besides Thor.

“What are you doing here Loki?”

“Is that how you greet me Sif?”

“This is not the place for your games. This is Midgard, why are you here?” Sif drew her sword.

“Oh relax.” He looked at me, “I only wanted to see her.”

I looked up at Thor who was glaring at Loki with his fist clenched as if he was fighting the urge to attack him.

Loki looked at Thor smirking and taunting him as he took another step towards me.

“If you come any closer to her I’ll kill you myself!” Sif shouted at him.

“Very well.” He grinned at her and disappeared.

Sif put away her sword, “Let’s go back now, is she coming?”

Thor looked at me questioning.

I was scared out of my mind and desperately trying to catch my breath. I didn’t realize what I was doing but I nodded to him and he took me up into his arms.

William walked from behind the wall.

“Where are you taking her?”

“To Asgard.” Sif replied to him.

“I’m coming.”

“No!”

“Let him come.” I managed to say finding my balance.

“I’ll need to go home and get Renee.”

“You’re not going alone, Sif will go with you, I’ll get Mjolnir from the apartment and meet you back the university.”

“Of course I’m coming with you!” Renee exclaimed, “I can’t let you go alone.”

“Good, now grab your things we have to go.”

I ran to the closet and got a few shirts stuffing them into my bag with underwear.

“Is that all you’re taking?”

“Yes! We don’t have that much time Ren.”

“Fine.” She got a bag and did the same.

Sif came in, “Are you ready?”

“Yes, let’s go.”

William and Thor were standing at the fountain.

Thor was back in his costume with his long red cape blowing wildly in the wind with Mjolnir is his hand.

He raised his hammer and a man appeared with glowing yellow eyes.

He smiled at me, “Hello Kaylee.”

I gasped at him, “Hi.”

“Come.” He said.

“Wait!” William objected, “We’re walking through a fountain?”

“It’s not a fountain.” Sif said walking through.

“Well if more men look like that I’m going through.” Renee followed.

I shook my head as Thor took my hand, “Are you ready?”

I nodded and we walked through as William followed behind us.
