The First Conversation.

"Hi."

"Hey."

They were on top of Ally's treehouse once more, which was only slightly damaged but had been fixed by Ally.

"Why are you here?" Ally said, eyes fixed on the stars.

"I wanted to talk to you. And look at the stars."

"I don't know. I don't think that's a good idea."

"Ally-I'm sorry I freaked out. But I was upset, just so upset at that... That bully. Those Barbie dolls."

"Okay."

Aaron turned his head toward the sprinkles in the air. "Do you remember the night we were here-"

"No. I hate when people ask me to remember things. I only remember a couple of things, alright?"

"Alright." Aaron's voice wavered.

"I'm sorry. But I think you should leave."

"I don't want to."

"I have to leave anyway. Just go."

Ally swung herself I to the treehouse and climbed down the trapdoor and ladder.

"Goodbye."

Aaron was suspended. Penny was suspended. Ally was alone.

Strangely, she felt empty inside. Without Penny's bullying, without Aaron's eyes staring at her, deep into her soul.

She realized how much she needed things that were bad. And she started to fall under Aaron's spell once more.

A forbidden love. Something my heart wrenches away from. My jailer is my heart. My mind is trapped but I need him and I know it's true but my heart is cruel and life is just as cruel. They work together. It kills me, how unfair everything is.

But Aaron wasn't there. He wouldn't read it today.
