You sat on your bed with the pregnancy test in your hands.
"Merry Christmas. I have alcohol!" Your boyfriend shouts, walking into your room. You smile at John and he smiles back. He offered you some drink but you politely declined.
"Why not?" He asks, sitting down next to you. You sigh and show him the pregnancy test.
"Merry Christmas babe" you softly say. You watched his facial expressions closely to see that they don't change. His smile stayed on his face.
"This is the best Christmas present ever" he says after a moment of silence.
"It is?" You ask. He nods and kisses you cheek
"Of course it is!" He reassures you. A sigh of happiness escaped your lips, "and it also means more alcohol for me" he adds. You laugh and shake your head.
"You're going to be a great dad" you reply. He sits up proudly
"Of course I am, no doubt about it" he replies. You kiss his cheek and rest your head on his shoulder knowing that in a years time you'll have little Constantine with you.
