27. Surprise

Harry was right, Denver is lovely. I'm a little nervous to be seeing Harper, Rose and Hugh tonight. Only because I hope I don't let them down and perform horribly.

Speaking of Harry, he just texted me.

Harry: Ed is having a disaster in his room. I think you should go help him.

How does Harry know what Ed is doing? I guess those two speak just as much as Harry and I do so he is probably FaceTiming with him right now.

I put my phone in my pocket, along with the key card to my room and head towards the door. When I open the door I almost collide with someone else.

What the heck, I definitely wasn't expecting someone to be standing at my door. The familiar scent that I've grown fond of fills my nose even before I can look up to see who I've bumped into.

When I look up, my eyes meet green.

"Harry!" I wrap my arms around him and hug him. His hands make their way to my hips and he hugs me back.

"Surprise."

I look at him for a moment and then hug him again. "Oh my god, you're here?" I feel his chest then arms and then his face, making sure he's really there.

"Can I come in?" He asks and I step to the side. He walks in and I shut the door behind him. When I turn around he is standing right there and I almost run into him for the second time today.

He takes another step forwards, pushing me against the door and cupping my cheeks with his hands. He puts his lips on mine and kisses me deeply. I kiss him back and he tilts his head to the side, deepening the kiss and slipping his tongue into my mouth.

After the kiss I push him away slightly just so I can pull myself together. "Well that was a nice surprise."

"I can do it again if you don't believe I'm here."

I laugh at him and pull him into me, resting my head on his chest. "Ed didn't have a disaster did he?"

"No."

"And the person Ed said was coming to visit me was you, wasn't it?"

"Yes."

I look up at him and kiss him. "I'm so glad." I can't wipe the smile off my face. "Aren't you supposed to be on tour? How are you here?"

"It's only for one night. I flew straight here from Texas and I'll get a flight to Vegas tomorrow night."

"And you came for Ed, he's performing a song that hasn't been released tonight."

Harry shakes his head. "I didn't know that. I came for you but I am happy I will get to hear the song too."

"You came for me?" I ask in shock.

Harry takes my hand and leads me over to the bed. "Why are you so surprised?"

I shrug. "I don't know."

"I'm into you Hailey. Like, a lot."

"So you don't just fly to another city for anyone?"

He shakes his head. "Only people I strongly care about."

I kiss him again and then look down at my trembling hands that won't stop shaking because I am in so much shock that Harry is actually standing here in front of me right now.

"I can't stop thinking about you Hailey. I don't know about you but I keep trying to take control myself but I just can't around you. I want to be around you every second of the day. FaceTime wasn't enough."
