Another day. Another tiring day for Jeongin. High school was definitely not a pleasure for him. Waking up every morning, wishing to be sick just to avoid school. Just to avoid them.
He had been bullied for a long time now. Those guys who kept on insulting him, even hitting him for no reason everyday since weeks now, no one could stop them. And Jeongin didn't want to tell his friends because he was ashamed of it. He should be able to protect himself, he didn't want to involve his friends into bad things like this.
However, today was no different, and as he just entered school, he saw the group of boys waiting for him at his locker. A loud sigh escaped his lips as he turned his direction to his class, not minding not having his stuffs anyway.
As soon as he entered his classroom, he went directly to his seat not paying attention to his classmates. The hour was long. First, he got scolded by the teacher since he didn't have his stuffs and he got detention because the boy beside him kept on throwing things at him and the teacher didn't want to know anything.
Jeongin quickly escaped his classroom when the bell rang. He met his friends outside as usual.
« Hey Jeongin »
Woojin waved at him.
« Hey guys »
They talked and laughed, enjoying their break. Fortunately, Jeongin's bullies would never attack him when he was with his friends. He felt safe with them. However, he was not in the same class as them and so as soon as the break was over, hell started again for him.
« Jeongin are you free after school, we thought about going out maybe to the amusement park ? »
Jisung asked him. Jeongin was about to agree when he remembered. He had detention.
« Uhm... I really want to go with you guys but... uhm I have detention again... - AGAIN ?! »
Jeongin sighed. He knew his friends never understood why he always got detention. It was understandable, Jeongin was the quiet type, not looking for troubles or anything, not the type that got detention every week. However, his bullies would always find a way to make the teacher angry against him. And that's how it ends every time.
« Maybe another day ? »
Jeongin added not wanting to sound suspicious. His friends just looked at each other and shrugged.
The bell rang again. Time to go back to class.
As he was walking to his next class, Jeongin stumbled into something and fell. He looked up and saw three of his bullies looking at him, smiling. Another sigh escaped his lips as he was about to get up. However, the bullies didn't plan that and started hitting him as the poor boy was still on the floor, unable to do anything against them.
After few minutes, thousands of knocking, they finally left Jeongin alone. His body was aching everywhere and he knew he would wake up with bruises the next morning. He quickly rubbed the dry blood on his lips and get up.
He was already late for his class and he didn't want to go anyway after what happened so he just left school. As he didn't have anywhere to go, he simply went to the park.
Time passed quickly as his mind get lost a lot. Thinking about everything. His life. His friends. It was already lunch time, and Jeongin decided to come back to school since he didn't want to make his friends worry more about him.
As he sat down at the table, where his friends where already at, he noticed how quiet they went. They were silently exchanging glances to each other.
« What's wrong g- - Jeongin we need to talk. »
Chan started. Jeongin gulped and looked at them. They were all already looking at him with a worry look.
« Can you explain ? Detentions, bruises, missing class ? What is happening Jeongin we all know you are not like that »
Seungmin asked.
« You can trust us Jeongin you know that »
Hyunjin continued.
At that moment, Jeongin felt nothing but regret. They were all caring for him, wanting the best for him. But still, he lied to them. And that's when he broke down. For the first time, he allowed himself to break down in front of them.
And he explained everything. The bullies, what happened this morning but basically every day. They were all listening carefully encouraging him to continue. As Jeongin ended his little speech, they all started to speak at the same time.
« We're gonna find a solution Jeongin trust me » Felix « I'm gonna beat their ass » Changbin « They will regret attacking our Jeonginie » Minho
Jeongin chuckled at their remarks and allowed himself to smile brightly for the first time since weeks now. He knew everything was about to change in a good way. And he was waiting for that since a long time.
« So who's up to go to the cinema after Jeongin's detention ? »
Chan said. They all agreed, included Jeongin.
