Aspen's POV

I stretched out before opening my eyes. As I opened my eyes, the most beautiful view appeared in front of me: Carolina, my addiction.

She was fourteen years older than me, and she was married to a well-known businessman, John Barnes. They had a son three years younger than me. David Barnes. We went to the same university. I met Carolina at David's birthday party. I was love struck with her and could not get her out of my mind. After a few encounters, she admitted that she liked me too. Then we started our secret relationship.

She knew me very well. Sometimes I felt a puppet in her hands. But I couldn't get rid of this addiction. I was playing with fire knowingly. I didn't dare to imagine what would happen when her husband or my father found out about this affair.

I stroked her silky brown hair gently and placed a soft kiss on her hair. She blinked without waking up and rolled over.

I got up and started picking up my clothes from the floor. Then I started putting on my clothes.

Then I started putting on my clothes

"Morning." She said in her sleepy voice as she stretched out.

"Morning." I said as I gave her a bright smile.

She got up as she wrapped the cover around her body and approached me. She placed a chaste kiss on my lips and started putting her clothes on.

"Let's have breakfast together." I suggested.

"No. John is coming back today." She said as she grabbed her bag. I frowned. "Hey, don't sulk." She said as she approached me. She gripped my chin and placed a passionate kiss on my lips.

"I am bored with hiding our relationship. Why don't you leave him?" I asked with a serious expression.

She rolled her eyes. "Aspen, we have talked about it. I can not leave him." She replied. "And do you think if I leave John, your family will accept our relationship? Don't be childish." She said, giving me a mocking smirk.

"I am a grown man. I can make my own decisions." I said firmly, placing my hands into my pockets.

She sighed and said. "Aspen, we are good, don't make things complicated."

"Do you love me?" I asked, annoyed.

"Of course yes." She said as she placed her hand on my bulge. "Do you have any doubts?" She whispered in my ear seductively and brushed her lips against mine.

I wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her closer as I deepened the kiss, pressing my bulge into her stomach.

After leaving the hotel, I got in my car and went home. When I arrived, my parents and my sister, Elva were having breakfast. After having breakfast with them, I went to my room. I took a shower and put my clothes on. After getting ready, I went to the company; I started working in our company since I graduated from Harvard last year.

I grabbed my file as the meeting ended. When I  tried to leave the conference room, my father stopped me.

"Don't be late for dinner." My father reminded me.

Today my father's friends, Mike and Dan and my uncle, James, with their families were coming for dinner. Elva and I had grown up with their children together. Mike and his wife, Barbara had two children, Maria and Robert. Robert and Maria were twins; they were three years younger than me.

My uncle, James and his wife, Amanda had a son, William. I was so close with William. He was two years younger than me. He was the only person who knew about my affair with Carolina. As much as he didn't approve of it, he kept it a secret.

Dan and his wife, Karen had two children, Milan and....Serena. Serena Evans. She was two years younger than me. Meanwhile, Milan was three years younger than me. Serena and Elva were best friends. Because of that, she often came to our house or stayed the night in our house. Elva kept telling me that Serena had a crush on me, but I didn't have feelings for her; she was like a sister to me. Yes, I should accept she was so beautiful; she had a dazzling smile, mesmerizing crystal blue eyes and alluring red soft lips.

"OK, Dad." I nodded,  giving him a warm smile.

Serena's POV

I put on a white mini dress. I brushed my hair and applied light makeup. I looked at myself in the mirror one more time and grabbed my clutch.

I was so excited; I was going to see Aspen today. I was in love with him since childhood,  but he never gave me attention. Every time seeing him with different girls made my heart sink, but I couldn't forget him nor our first kiss which he gave me when I was five years old. The first and only kiss.

When we arrived,  everyone was here as well as Aspen. He looked so handsome in his black shirt and black denim jeans.

"Hi." He greeted me as he kissed my cheek.

I closed my eyes as my nostrils filled with his musky and masculine scent.

"Hey, bro." Then, he greeted my brother, Milan.

"Hey. Where is Maria?" Milan asked.

Milan had a crush on Maria. He had been chasing her like a shadow. But I had suspicions that she had feelings for him too.

"In the garden with Elva and Robert." Aspen replied, giving him a mischievous smirk. Milan grinned and went towards the garden.

"How are you?" I asked when Aspen and I stayed alone.

"Fine. You?" He asked as he placed his hands into his pockets.

"Fine, thanks." I replied. I bit my lower lip nervously. "Tomorrow Elva and I are going to go to the nightclub. Do you want to join us?" I asked shyly, blushing.

"No, I am going to hang out with William." He replied.

"OK." I muttered, disappointed.

Suddenly,  his phone buzzed. He pulled it out of his back pocket and looked at it. His expression changed; the corner of his lips curled up in a smile.

"Excuse me." He gave me a warm smile and left.

I watched his leave, feeling sad. Probably, it was his girlfriend; it was predictable from his expression. I got used to seeing him with different girls, but every time when I saw them, I couldn't stop myself from feeling bad.
