I sat on the couch in my apartment while I held a phone to my ear.

"How's Prague?" I asked Ev

"It's cold, but pretty. We're traveling to Germany now." He answered

I nodded, "When are you finished again?"

"The last Wednesday in February, maybe Tuesday." Ev replied

"Ev, it's like one in the morning where you are, are you sure you don't want me to let you go to bed?" I questioned him

"I wanna talk to you." He assured me

My phone buzzed as I looked at the text. I let out a deep breath.

"He's almost here." I informed Ev

"I'm scared." I added

"Do you want me to stay on the phone?" Everett asked me

I nodded, "Yeah."

Everett and I did keep things friendly while we were in Charlotte. We never kissed, but you could feel the tension. We were getting to know each other again and it was nice to talk to someone who really knew everything about you.

I'd been avoiding Nolan so hard. I told him that we were going on a family vacation to Colorado and I wouldn't have service, the no service part was a lie. I did reassure him that nothing was going on between Everett and I, which also was somewhat of a lie.

"I miss you." Ev whispered after a moment of silence

"I miss you too weirdo." I smiled

I could hear him let out a laugh.

Then were was a knock on my door.

"Don't do anything loud." I told him before I got up

I walked to the front door and opened the door to see Nolan.

"Hey." I greeted him

I moved to the side to let him in.

"Hey, how are you doing?" He asked me

I closed the door, "Can't complain. You?"

"I have a lot of questions." Nolan started

"So what kind of meeting is this?" He questioned me

I sat down on the couch and so did he.

"So I'm getting back on the road tomorrow and I really wanna focus on myself, music, and school. I think it would be best if we stopped doing whatever this is." I began

Nolan gave me a blank expression, "Is this about your ex?"

I hesitated, "I think you deserve someone who is ready for such a big commitment with you."

"So you are ready for a commitment, just not with me? Be honest." He demanded

I was quiet.

I shrugged, "I don't know, I'm young. I'm not over Everett and that's the truth. I have something with him that I think I could never have with any other person."

Nolan slammed his hands down onto the coffee table, "What the fuck? I love you!"

"I don't love you." I said back immediately

Nolan snickered, "Oh it all makes sense. You little who-."

My jaw dropped, "We were never official. Never ever. You cannot tell me honestly that we were! So don't even go around throwing around that word. There was a reason, I magically got sick on Thanksgiving and went home, I don't like you like that."

He scoffed as he stood up, "I should have known."

I just sat there blankly, "I think you should go."

He shook his head without saying anything and I followed him to the front door. Nolan left and I felt free again.

"Did he almost call you a whore?" Everett asked me

I accepted his FaceTime request.

"I think so." I answered

He was in his dark tour bus, laying in his bed, his hair was messy, but he was still so damn cute.

"I'm gonna best the shit out of him." Ev mumbled

"When is the next time I'm gonna see you?" I asked him as I walked into my room

"Oh, you really do miss me?" Ev questioned me

I rolled my eyes with a grin, "Of course."

"Well you remember when we were together and we did that thing for American Eagle?" He began

I nodded.

"We have to promote it in the beginning of March, back in LA. The first Friday of March to be exact. I get back late that Thursday.

I groaned, "That's so far away, I hate this."

"It's gonna work out." Ev assured me

I took a deep breath and I believed that it was going to work out.

"You promise?" I said like a child

"Yes, absolutely." He assured me

"You should sing me a song to fall asleep." Ev insited

I smiled, "Really?"

"Yes, I love your voice." He complimented me

"Okay, I gotta good one." I began

I thought back to where this all began.

I sang the whole song to him and then when he fell asleep, I sat there like a creep just listening to him breathe.

"Go pack for tour, weirdo." Ev murmured

I smiled, "M'kay. Goodnight, Evie."

"Goodnight, Gray." He whispered

I ended the call and went to Instagram. I unfollowed Nolan, went to the search bar, typed in 'EverettGriffin', I pressed follow, and I turned my phone off.

I was on cloud nine.
