Chapter Twenty Six: Home sweet Home
Daisy
***

Here nestled on the outskirts of Southtown was a Cade's own honest to goodness log cabin.

But unlike the small dinky cabins you'd find at a state park, this one was a huge two story with massive windows that held little to no privacy as you could see right inside.

As gorgeous as it was, the fact that the more "rustic" style home stood out in Southtown... it was absoultely Cade.

I just couldn't imagine him in one of the beautiful modern homes we passed on the way.

Cade got of the car and move to come around to my side (per the usual now), he opened the door for me and I stepped out as I looked at his home.

It was absoultley breathtaking.

The house was unlike any I had ever seen. The russet colored logs were huge and somehow still didn't make the home look bulky in any way, the sleek floor to ceiling window panes on the front of the house somehow flowed seamlessly in with the wood.

From where I was standing (at the bottom of very large cement steps) I could see completely into his home as the large windows showed off the luxuriously cozy interior of his home as if it were a piece of artwork.

I stood there and marveled at the beauty of the place.

"What do you think?"

"Well...you surely wouldn't see any house like this back home." I remarked before I realized how that could be taken negatively. I looked at him and smiled, "It's amazing...I feel like I'm at a fancy resort or something."

He chuckled. "It took me many years to build it up to what it is now."

This home was literally the results of all of his hard work, and I admired it even more now. "Don't you worry about people looking through your windows?

He shook his head cooly, "Not really a privacy issue, no neighbors for miles and there's trees that block the passerbys...wanna head in?" He asked.

He must've taken the time I was looking at his house to collect my belongings as he already had the luggage in hand as he led me up the stairs and finally into his house.

"Welcome to my place officially...uh, please make yourself at home."

I smiled as I could tell he was nervous now.

"Don't have too many guests over often?"

He shook his head, "nope...not really."

"Well if it helps any...I've never really been a guest in a ton of homes."

He smiled and nodded, "Well then as two novices let me show you to your room...you can get settled in and I can take you out to tour the city."

I followed him up the stairs and into the bedroom.

"I'll be just down the hall if you need me." He said as he closed the bedroom door behind me."

I looked around the spacious bedroom, the same large windows covered the entire back wall as well.

I moved to the window and looked out at the spectacular view, we were a little distance away from the heart of the city but I could still see the multiple buildings...I couldn't wait for the sun to set so I could see the city all lit up.

I was giddy now, it was suddenly real that I was here. I moved quickly to put my clothes away in the closet (so they wouldn't wrinkle) and then freshened up since I had a nap in the car on the way over.

_____

CADE

As we walked through the city I couldn't help but watch her the entire time. Her reactions were genuine and drew me in, from her marvel at the tall buildings to the excitment of the husle and busle surrounding us.

She looked up at me and smiled, "This place is great Cade."

I smirked. "I'm glad you like it...We've been at this for a while now though."

She nodded her understanding as the sun was beginning to set now.

"Would you like to stop by one of these restaurants to have dinner...there's a Thai place across the street, a great Sushi spot on the corner there, uh...the next street over has a Mediteranian spot and a couple of Italian food restaurants if we keep going..."

Once again she smiled at me, "That all sounds great...but do you think we can just like order a pizza or something?"

My eyebrows pulled together as I was trying to see if maybe something was bothering or upsetting her.

She noticed and smiled.

"...it's just, I really kinda want to just get comfortable and relax."

I nodded, "Of course."

"You aren't upset are you?"

I shook my head, "Daisy...I'm good with relaxing at home, it's one of my favorite things and also something I don't get to do too often." I admitted.

"Well we can just order in, have a pajama party, watch some movies...-"

I smirked as I thought about something.

"What?" She asked grinning.

"Uh...so I only have one TV in my house...again I've never really had anyone over...my TV is mounted to my bedroom wall."

I watched as a blush stained her cheeks lightly.

I smirked as she looked away for a moment.

"We can still have a pajama party and watch movies in my room if you don't mind." I suggested a little more seductively than I would have a couple of days.

Her blush deepened but she looked up at me once again, she looked like she was trying to get a read on me.

"I promise I'll get a TV for the living room tomorrow."

She rolled her eyes, "Don't waste money on unnecessary things Cade...we'll just watch TV and eat pizza, Right?"

"Right." I agreed. "After we eat and finish up a movie or show then you'll go to your room and we'll call it a night, we've got to be up early for breakfast anyways remember."

"Right...with your cousin."

I nodded, "Blithe will be excited to see you."

"She was so sweet the first time I met her."

I smirked at her easy mood.

"Well you ready then let's get going...those heels probably weren't the best choice to play tourist in." I mentioned as I looked down at the fancy shoes she has chosen to wear out.

"Yeah, cute but not exactly practical." She grimmaced as she looked down at her own feet now.

I shook my head and together we made our way back to my car before I took her back to the house.
