Chapter Thirty Nine: Answers
Cade
***

"Where the hell is Ieston?!" I growled as I entered the pack house.

I needed to know the truth, and while I want to believe Daisy, I knew there was no way I'd be able to tell if she was lying to me...my Beta on the other hand had no choice but to tell me the truth.

'Why would she lie?'

I ignored my wolf.

"Alpha Cade, you've asked him to lead the patrols this week...he'll be gone by now, but you only just missed him." One of my men said.

"Only just missed him?" I asked.

The same guy nodded, "yes sir, he was here earlier before you showed up, I believe he was in the garden before he left.

'Daisy's not lying.' My wolf growled at me.

I took a deep breath in, "we'll have our meeting next week unless something bug happens in which I will call for you all, I'm sorry for calling you all here this afternoon but something has come up."

I dismissed my men for the evening and called Blithe.

"Sup?" She answered.

"I need you to do me a solid."

"Of course." She sounded with a slight questioning tone.

"Look no questions or input, but I need you to come and collect Daisy from the pack house, take her to collect her belongings and then I'll need you to take her home."

"Cade?" She asked.

"No questions, no input Blithe, this is me asking as a favor to your Alpha."

"Yes sir." She said a little more respectfully and with a lot more sass.

I sighed, I never liked pulling rank especially on my own cousin. "Thanks Blithe...you'll find out everything soon enough." I said before I hung up.

I went into my office and slammed the door shut behind me.

I wanted to shift, I wanted to run, I wanted to hurt Ieston for all of this shit...but most importantly I wanted nothing more than to lay in bed and vent to Daisy about the shitty turn of events this day held.

I needed to confirm everything with Ieston I needed to talk to not just my Beta but also my cousin...because she had every right to know that her husband has a Mate out there, rejected or not.

Even if I found out it was all true and Daisy didn't know about Ieston being her mate, I had to know that she was still the best fit for my Luna, or would it be too awkward for her having to see Ieston everyday, or would it be too awkward for my cousin to have to see Daisy knowing she's her husbands mate?

My head was spinning as my world was genuinely falling apart just as I was on the cusp of building up fully.

I closed my eyes and rested my head against my desk, I didn't know what to do.

I'm the Alpha.

The person who's suppose to have all the answers.

And right now I was worried, alone, sad,  confused, and hurt...I wanted to blame someone but there was no one to blame except Ieston and even I knew he's not the kinda guy who would just reject his mate without a reason.
