Chapter Forty Five: I'm Sorry
Cade
***

I don't know when her parents left the room and I honestly didn't care if they had stood there and watched us either, but when we pulled apart I looked at Daisy.

We were alone in their family room and even though she was smiling at me, I could see her tears and I wiped her cheeks clear from the warm tears staining her cheeks.

"I'm so sorry Cade."

I shook my head, my heart was breaking as I watched her crying.

"Please don't cry my flower, you're killing me and my wolf."

"She shook her head, this is all my fault, I should have told you about my rejection from the get go...-"

"No this is all Ieston's fault...please don't blame yourself, I don't want you to blame yourself Daisy...when you decided to tell me about your rejection should have been completely up to you, but he took that away from you, more so I apologize to you My Flower, I should have listened to you, and I should have trusted you and I'll never be able to undo the pain I caused you."

She hugged me.

I wasn't worthy of her hugs right now but I fully accepted it greedily as I hugged her tight as I thought about a time when I thought I'd lost her for good.

"I came to get you the day after you left my pack...I should have never asked you to leave..." I said. "I don't ask for your forgivness, and I wouldn't blame you if you hated me...but Daisy," I said moving so that I could see her face. "Daisy I am in love with you...and I have been in love with you since you allowed me to be Cade instead of Alpha Irons, and you accepted Me for all that I am."

She looked at me lovingly.

"I love you Daisy Brooks, and I want you to come back with me."

Her soft smile faltered slightly and worry now filled her eyes. "I don't want to go with you if you're only going to ask me to leave again Cade Irons...I may Love you with every bit of my heart...but I refuse to allow myself to be pushed around by anybody."

"I will never be so stupid to ever ask you to leave my side again...actually, I was sort of hoping you'd never have to leave my side again." I said as I dropped down onto one knee.

"Cade..."

"Daisy Brooks, I love you Little Flower, more than I've ever even known I was capable of loving someone...I asked you before to be my Luna...and that offer still stands, but first...How would you feel about becoming my wife?"

Daisy

I looked down at Cade and the beautiful ring he was holding out to me... Only moments ago I was in the car lost in thought, thinking of all the ways Cade would say he never wanted to see me again.

But here he was kneeling down in front of me, proposing to me.

"Daisy, My Flower...While I do love looking at you I kinda need an answer." He sounded humored.

"Oh...Oh Cade My Love yes, I would love to be your wife and your Luna and everything so long as I get to do it with you as my partner."

He smiled and got up so that he could place the ring on my hand. "If it's too big I can get it resized...or we can get you another one if you don't like it...-"

"It's gorgeous Cade...and it's perfect."

He kissed me and then smiled, "I'm glad you like it...it was my mother's."

"Then I love it even more...and I love you."

He kissed me once again and then the realization kicked in that I am engaged now.

"Now Cade, we may be engaged but I don't think I'm in any rush to run off and get married...is that going to be a problem?"

He shook his head, "I will marry you whenever you are ready to take me as your husband...I refuse to pressure you in any way, just know that I'm fine with whatever you want to do."

"So you don't mind that your fiancee will live in Sunderland and you'll be in Ironsmith?"

He crinkled his nose, "If that's what you want...but I want you to know my door is always open for you...I'll even give you a key before I leave."

I nodded.

"There is only a few things I will ask of you as your fiance." He said seriously now. "If you're insiting on living away from me...your weekends are all mine...I'm a selfish needy Alpha and and My wolf and I need you." He said playfully.

I smiled at his playfullness and I nodded, "I will visit you so much you'll be glad when I have to come home."

"Never...I'd never grow tired of you Daisy...but being serious now...when you are away from me, please always stay safe, you aren't marked and that poses many threats and worries for me, especially having you 3 hours away from me."

I understood his concern, "We're pretty good at negotiating...I can understand your concerns as they are valid concerns, and believe it or not Love, I share the same concerns when it comes to you."

"My Flower, are you jealous?"

I looked him with seriousness, "I have seen those city girls that work in your building."

He laughed and I shook my head before he kissed my cheek to calm me down.

"Like I was saying...Us being too far apart isn't good for either of our wolves or our egos." I said.

"So then move to my pack."

"I think I might have to." I admitted. "But if I do, I will not live with you until we're married."

"So you want your own place in Ironsmith?"

I nodded.

"I'm good with that, if you promise we can still spend the night with each other."

"Occassionally." I said with a smile. "But with me living there I will be using my weekends to visit my family instead."

He nodded, "I can live with that, if I can come along with you every now and again...I mean, we will be married some day, gotta start meeting them right?"

"That's true...I suppose you can tag along every now and again."

He smiled. "And what about...sex?"

I felt my entire face heat up, "W-while I'm not exactly opposed to pre-marital sex...let's just let that one happen on it's own."

He winked and I blushed even more.
