Chapter 26 (Dejavu)

I woke up on my own the next day and everything seemed normal.

But it wasn't.

First I was in a cami and shorts and I fell asleep in my bed with my clothes on.

Second my eyes weren't red or puffy, which they should have been since I cried myself to sleep.

And third Tsunami wasn't on my bed side table.

Instead a box was.

Why was there a box on my side table?

I found my answer on a note that was taped on top of a box.

I re-read the note and was extremely confused.

This was the same note that Percy put on top of my birthday present.

Last year.

I opened the box and found Tsunami inside.

I then remembered that Percy was the one who gave me Tsunami.

I uncapped it and it sprang open.

'Kinda ironic that Percy gave me the sword that I stabbed him with' I thought.

I heard a knock on the door and saw Nico standing there in the frame his cheeks full of embarrassment.

Why was Nico at my cabin door?

And why was he embarrassed?

I looked down and realized.

"Sorry I just woke up" I said feeling the blush enter my cheeks.

I quickly slipped on a hoodie and got out of my bed.

"Um isn't that my hoodie?" Nico asked me looking at the hoodie.

I looked down and realized it was indeed his hoodie.

Why did I have his hoodie?

"Um... sorry guess I didn't know I still had this here" I said taking off the hoodie.

"No don't it looks better on you" He said piercing into my eyes.

Okay why was he looking at me like that?

Does he not remember the whole breakup?

I was so confused, he caught me by surprise when he wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed me softly.

This setting seemed so familiar, like I had lived it before.

"Happy Birthday" he whispered pulling back and placing his forehead onto mine

This all seemed so familiar because it was.

This was the same exact day as last year.

That meant Nico was still my boyfriend.

"Uh thanks" I said shyly.

He laughed but it seemed off.
