"He cheated on me," she said, finally showing the emotions that she had been fighting. Oliver reached forward and gave his sister a hug as she started sobbing into his chest.

Chapter 19; Keeping in Control

"Have you heard of color psychology?" Caitlin asked Charlotte and Felicity once the former blonde came back from her "training" with Oliver and Barry.

"The theory that changes in the color spectrum can affect emotion," Felicity confirmed.

"It is so nice to have another woman to talk to," Caitlin told her. Charlotte gave a not-so-subtle cough in Caitlin's direction to which the brunette added, "besides Charlie. I was thinking that if Bivolo uses color to induce the temporary psychosis, maybe we can use light and color to reverse it."

"Miss Smoak and Miss Queen," a voice called out from the hallway, interrupting the girls. The three of them turned to see Harrison Wells sitting there. "A word, if you please." Charlotte and Felicity shared a look before following the man out into the hallway.

"Hey, what's up, Doc?" Felicity asked, as the girls jogged to catch up to him. Charlotte rolled her eyes and mentally face-palmed at Felicity's ability to make any situation more awkward or worse with just a few words. "Sorry, that was dumb. Remember, I went to M.I.T."

"Yes, you're smart. Felicity, Charlotte, I like to surround my team with known quantities. That is because I find the unknown to be toxic, dangerous. The Arrow is unknown," Dr. Wells spoke as the three of them came to a stop by the elevator.

"I can assure you, Dr. Wells, he's not dangerous," Charlotte defended.

"To us," Felicity added. Charlotte gave her a look before returning her attention back to the older man in front of them.

"Well, of that, I have little doubt. And yet, I find myself with a conundrum. How can I completely trust a man when I don't even know his name? And so, I was hoping, Miss Smoak or Miss Queen, that you could help me trust him. Who is he under the hood?"

"That is not our secret to tell, Dr. Wells," Felicity said with a straight face.

"Surely you know how important it is to keep a secret identity?" Charlotte asked, placing a hand on her hip. Dr. Wells looked taken aback for a split second before he chuckled and nodded his head.

"Of course. I'll figure it out on my own." The two blondes stared at the doctor with skeptical looks as he rode away. A slight 'woosh' sound behind them, and a flash of light, made them snap out of their trance and turn around.

"Hey, how'd it go with Oliver?" Felicity asked. Charlotte rolled her eyes and scoffed. Felicity turned to her and then back to Oliver with a quizzical facial expression.

"You know, to be honest, not exactly the partnership I thought it would be," Barry responded as they walked over towards the Cortex.

"Oh, did he really do the thing with the arrows?"

"You knew he was going to shoot me?" Barry accused as his voice went up higher than usual.

"Whoa, it is practically impossible to tell when Oliver's making a joke," defended Felicity with her hands raised in mock surrender.

"Hey, we just got a ping from the facial recognition software on Bivolo, aka, Prism," Cisco announced.

"Since when do we have facial recognition software?" Charlotte asked as she stepped further into the room.

"Happy Hanukkah." Charlotte looked over at Felicity with a grin on her face.

"Where can I find him?" Barry asked with urgency.

"Traffic cameras just caught him entering a residence at 168 Jarvis."

"We should let The Arrow know," Charlotte spoke knowing well that Barry was still angry from earlier; she knew that going to fight while angry was definitely not the way to go. Besides, if Oliver is in town, .

"I can handle this solo. I've done it before.""Barry, I really think you need to wait- "

"Charlotte, I don't need his help," he snapped. Barry grabbed his suit and sped off before she shouted, "Be careful!"

"Guys, I think I got whammied," Barry awkwardly announced as he walked through the Cortex entryway.

"Are you okay?" Felicity asked, as she rushed over towards him.

"Yeah, I'm fine," he responded, still not completely in the right headspace.

"Let's just check to make sure," Caitlin said, dragging Barry over to her workspace to check on him. "No signs of macular damage. Your retina and cornea seem unaffected."

"I told you, I'm fine."

"You said Bivolo whammied you. No desire to go M.M.A. on any of us?" Felicity asked, walking closer to Barry.

"Yeah, I mean, something weird happened with his eyes for a sec.

"Weird thing?" Caitlin asked.

"Yeah, everything went red."

"You were right," Felicity told Caitlin.

"Okay, next thing you know, Bivolo was gone," Barry said, walking back into the Cortex. "Look, obviously his powers didn't work on me, so- "

"It was stupid for you to go out there alone," Caitlin scolded as she walked towards him. "You take too many risks. As fast as you are, that's going to catch up with you."

"Caitlin, I'm not Ronnie," Barry said slowly, trying to suppress his anger. "You gotta stop treating me like I am."

"You're right," she agreed, pain evident in her brown eyes. Charlotte and Felicity looked at Barry with disappointing looks.

"What?"

"You are such a lovable dummy," Felicity responded before walking off to find Caitlin. Barry glanced at Charlotte, not ready for what happened next.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Charlotte blurted, with an angry look on her face.

"W-what?" Barry looked shocked at her sudden outburst, seeing as that was the first thing she said since he left.

"You heard me. You were already angry from earlier and then you stupidly went out there, without any help mind you which is the worst possible thing you could do, and got yourself whammied by Bivolo. Then you go and snap at Caitlin. That's not like you, and you are definitely not fine."

"I have gone out there before, by myself. I don't need anyone's help, especially the Oliver's. Last time I did that, I got shot in the back!" Barry shouted back at her.

"Well, now I think you deserve it for acting like such an asshole!" Charlotte went to storm pass Barry but he grabbed her arm. "Let go." She yanked her arm out of her grip just as the two of them received a text, both from two different people.
