Chapter 49- The Future

Shawn's POV

Not gonna lie: these past two months have been kinda tough, Sabrina is going crazy over the preparatives for our wedding and with the babies room and the fact that she's stressing herself over everything is stressing me.
"Shawn?"
"Yes baby?"
"Which color do you think it's the best for the walls? Blue or white?" I smile
"I think that blue is a pretty cute color"
"Oh okay..." there's a moment of silence
"Which shade of blue do you think it's more appropriate?" She asks me while holding a sheet of paper with all the shades
"Honey" I sigh
"What? You changed your idea?"
"Yeah, let's paint it white" I say, knowing that there aren't any shades of white so there's one less thing to worry about
"Okay... Which shade?" She says after pulling out another piece of paper with the shades
"Oh my gosh..." I groan in frustration
"Can you relax for a second?"
"I'm about to start the seventh month, we haven't done anything for the twins' room and you're telling me to relax?!" I swear she's driving me to the edge, I don't know if I can continue being chill about this situation anymore
"I'm telling you to relax because the stress isn't good-!"
"For the babies I know! But I want everything to be perfect for when they'll arrive!" I can't hold the tears anymore, I start crying hard and stand up from the bed where I was laying on
"Can you stop for a second?!" She notices my tears and frowns in confusion
"I'm crying because of what you're doing Sabrina! You won't listen to me and only talk to me when you need my opinion for the preparatives! I feel like shit and the fact that you treat me poorly and use me only to fulfill your sexual desires does not help! Can't you understand that I'm worried about you?! Can't you understand that I'm a human being?! Can't you understand that YOU are a PREGNANT human being?!" She stands up and wipes away my tears with her little hands
"I'm sorry I made you feel that way Shawn, I really didn't mean to" She stands on her tiptoes and kisses my right cheek
"You should've told me"
"I didn't want to cause more problems" I say through sobs
"You wouldn't have caused more trouble Shawn" She caresses my cheeks
"Is there anything I can do for you?" I nod
"Yeah"
"What is it?"
"Can you just take some days off and chill?" She looks hesitant
"Okay, but only a couple of days"
"Thank you" Sabrina smiles
"No problem" I lie back down on the bed as she looks around
"But we need-"
"Don't you even try!" I pat her to lie next to me
"Okay" she sighs and finally lies on the bed
"See? It's not that bad" She smiles
"You're right, it's really relaxing"
"You should do it more often" I kiss her forehead
"I will, I promise"
"Great, so: how are them?" I gently place my hand on her stomach and instantly feel some kicks
"I swear one of them is gonna be a soccer player" Sabrina says while laughing
"Sounds good to me" I chuckle and look at Sabrina who is resting her hand above mine while giving me one of those pure and sincere smiles
"I've missed it so much" She raises an eyebrow
"What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about your beautiful and pure smile" She blushes, she's so cute I can't!
"Oh shut up" I suddenly have a really amazing idea.
"Sab, we need to talk"
"Sure, what is it?"
"I've been thinking-"
"Well that's not a good sign" She giggles
"I'm serious"
"Okay then, what do you wanna talk about?"
"I don't know if you'll like this idea but I'm just gonna say it" I take a deep breath
"What if after the twins will be born and we'll get married..."
"Yeah?"
"Maybe we should take a year off the music industry" She frowns
"What about the albums that we're about to release? And the tour?"
"We'll release our albums but we won't tour" She looks at me as if I was crazy
"Just think about it: touring with two newborns is not the best thing ever, they'll need our full attention, plus, do you really wanna spend your first year of marriage by being miles away from your husband?" She sighs
"That's true but you know how much I love my fans"
"I love them too Sab, trust me, I wasn't fully happy when I thought about it but I realized that I had to choose between my family or the job that I love and I chose you, you three are and will always be my first priority"
"That's so sweet Shawn and I think the same way but-"
"Just take your time, you don't have to decide right now" I kiss her forehead
"Thank you for understanding"
"There's nothing to understand: it's a hard decision and you need to consider every single pro and con"
"You're the best" I scoff
"I know" I say proudly and she giggles
"I still can't believe that we're engaged"
"Two months have passed since then"
"Yeah but I've never had a moment to stop and think about it"
"Of course you didn't have a moment, you were always thinking about the preparatives" We both laugh
"You should sleep now"
"But it's only 3pm"
"Then just take a nap"
"Only if you'll take it with me" I sigh
"You need some sleep as well Shawn"
"That's true but-"
"No buts!"
"Okay" I say with a smile as I lie my head on the pillow along with her.
"Love you babygirl"
"Love you too baby" She then starts humming a lullaby
"I'm the only one who can do that" I say through a loud yawn
"Shhh..." She keeps humming the melody and hear the sound of her voice whispering 'Not anymore' before falling asleep.
