Shawn's POV

The same night after the trial we immediately flew back in New York, Sabrina was so happy to finally come back that night! I loved seeing her so careless, not only she won the trial, but she came back to her apartment with her family to finally spend some time with them. As much as we love LA paparazzis here don't follow you when you go to the bathroom, we have way more privacy here. Anyways, Sabrina was so happy that she even let herself go on the bed with me, which is great because this means that Harvey has no control over her life anymore. I'm so proud of her. We still have to go to couples therapy and regular therapy but we're reaching a point in our lives that is pretty close to perfection.
"Good morning" I kiss her head to wake her up since we're laying on the bed
"Hey" She replies with her typical raspy morning voice
"How are you feeling?" She smiles widely
"Great after yesterday!" she stretches
"I won the trial, I came home and finally had some fun with my lovely husband!"
"I'm glad you're happy" She gives me a quick peck on the lips
"And I'm gonna be happy for sure for the next twelve months since I'm gonna spend them with my family" she hugs me tightly. I really missed seeing her this excited and euphoric
"I love you!" she exclaims out loud
"Okay chill" I reply with a chuckle
"Nope!" she stands up and starts jumping on the bed
"You are such a kid" I look at her with a smile and then finally decide to join her
"You're such a kid too!"
"Yes I am!" She smirks as she grabs a pillow
"Don't you even-" I can't finish my sentence because she has already hit me with it
"You little..." I say worryingly as she keeps hitting me
"What are you gonna do about it?" I grab her by the waist and slowly kiss her as feathers fly across the room. Our kiss is romantic and yet passionate, Sabrina pulls me even closer if that's possible and we only pull away when we need oxygen.
"That's not fair"
"What do you mean?"
"You cheated. You only kissed me to make me stop" she sticks her tongue out at me
"True, but I also kissed you because you're my wife and I love you with all my heart" she blushes with a smile
"Come on, we have to drop the kids at the nursery" she sighs
"I'm still not sure about leaving them there"
"It's the best nursery in the whole city, plus, they'll finally meet other kids"
"What if those kids bite ours?"
"I'm sure they won't get rabies"
"Oh, you are so funny" Sabrina replies with sarcasm
"Let's go" she sighs
"Okay" we then proceed to change and drop them off
"Mommy!" They cry in unison as they hug her
"I swear I'll back in a few hours, okay?"
"No!" Alex cries harder, making Sabrina cry as well
"I'm gonna miss you so much guys, but I promise that I'll be here in no time"
"Pinkie promise?" Harry asks her while holding up his pinkie
"Pinkie promise" they lock them, meaning that she has to keep her promise
"Okay guys" I pick them up. As much as this breaks my heart Sabrina and I are late for our therapy session
"Daddy!" I sigh and give them to the caregiver before driving off
"Don't you have feelings?" Sabrina wipes away a tear
"I do, but you're the one who is overreacting"
"I am not!"
"We'll talk about it later, okay?"
"Fine" I drive to our next location

"Hello miss. Grundy" we shake hands and Sabrina and I sit down
"Hi guys, how are you feeling?"
"Fine" I reply
"Sabrina? You look kinda sad, why?" she sighs
"It was the first time that I had to leave our children to the nursery" The therapist smiles sympathetically at her
"I get it, it can be hard at the beginning but you'll get used to it"
"I really hope so. I can't understand how my husband is capable of doing this without crying"
"I'm already used to it now but it was really hard for me too at the beginning"
"See? It'll get easier as time passes. Now, moving on, any news?" I nod
"Yes, we were finally able to do it"
"Really?" she asks with a smile
"Yeah"
"And how do you guys feel?"
"Now I'm happy that I can do what I want with my body without being scared"
"And I'm glad that she's happy" I look at Sabrina with a huge smile
"Now we have finally found that connection that I was so scared to loose"
"Why were you afraid of loosing it"
"Because no connection means no happiness to me"
"Well, from what I've noticed you guys have made a lot of progress"
"Thank you"
"Now, Sabrina"
"Yes?"
"How do you feel about winning the trial?"
"I feel like I'm in heaven, I feel no longer scared of anything, I feel like I could jump off a plane"
"Okay, well don't do that, please" I reply with a laugh
"Why don't you want her to jump her off a plane?"
"Because it's dangerous"
"What if she had all the necessary equipment to make it?"
"Still no"
"Because...?"
"I'd be worried sick about her anyways"
"Shawn, you really need to work on your protectiveness, she's an adult, she's not your daughter. I get that you feel guilt for a lot of things that happened to her but it's not your fault, at all"
"It's just hard, I don't want her to get hurt even more"
"I won't, I'm fine Shawn"
"See? No need to worry" I sigh in relief
"You're right"
"Well, your time is over now. Next time we'll talk about house chores"
"Thank you" Sabrina hugs her and then we head back home.
"I love therapy, I think it's solving a lot of our problems" she says while hugging me from behind while I unlock the door
"I couldn't agree more. You know what?"
"Yeah?"
"Since we've missed our first anniversary I'm going to take you out toni-Aaliyah?!" As soon as I open the door I see my sister in the living
"Aaliyah? What are you doing here?" Sabrina asks her while walking towards her
"Hi guys" she says shyly, with embarrassment, almost as she did something wrong...
