Chapter 99- Airplane Crash

Sabrina's POV

I left the hospital two weeks ago, thankfully there weren't any complications during the birth of Emma, talking about her, she's an absolute angel! She doesn't cry as much as her brothers when they were her age and she is able to sleep more than four consecutive hours at night, pretty awesome, right?
About Alex and Harry...they weren't too thrilled to see her, let's just say that they were expecting a sibling able to talk and run like them, luckily they will get it soon with Sophia! Yup, I just need to go over there for the last papers and then she's gonna be officially part of the family! I have to leave today though, and Shawn is coming with me. My parents will take care of the children but I feel bad about leaving Emma, she's just three weeks old, not even a month! But it's for a good cause at least.
"Have you packed your things?" Shawn asks me
"Yeah, you?"
"Yup, remember to not bring your whole closet, we're leaving for only three days" I playfully roll my eyes
"I know" he smiles at me
"We had our third child three weeks ago and now we're gonna have another one, isn't that awesome?"
"Awesome and yet scary" he frowns
"Why?"
"How will Sophia adapt? I'm sure that she'll miss her friends. What if she won't get along with Alex and Harry? What about Emma? Will Sophia get annoyed when she'll cry at night?"
"I see your point" he gently rubs my shoulders in order to make me relax
"But everything will be just fine. Of course some of those things will happen but at the end everything will turn out just the right way, I know"
"You should be a motivational speaker"
"Yeah, I really should" we both laugh
"Thank you for always making me feel better and loved" I hug him
"This is what husbands are for"
"And what are wives for?"
"The same things are husbands, well, in fact, you're more important and powerful. You are the main reason why I haven't gotten mad already with all the media and paparazzis always behind us. You make me feel more confident because of your own confidence. You might be short but you sure are intimidating"
"Really?"
"Absolutely. Sometimes you scare me" I giggle
"Thank you"
"Okay well, time to go now, your parents are already here" I nod
"Sure, let me just say bye to the kids"
"Of course" I walk to the living
"Alex! Harry!" They come in running and I crouch down at their height
"What is it mommy?"
"I just wanted to say bye and that I'll miss you"
"You're leaving?"
"Yeah, but only for a few days, then I'll be back"
"Promise?"
"We promise" Shawn enters the conversation and picks both of them up
"And we'll bring so many things for you"
"Toys?"
"Yes, but there's also another thing"
"And what is it?" Harry asks with enthusiasm
"It's a surprise you silly" I say with a chuckle as I kiss his head
"And I'm sure you'll love it"
"We'll miss you" Shawn and I stare at each other in awe
"We'll miss you guys too" We all share a big family hug. I don't know why but I'm starting to have a bad feeling right now.
"We gotta say bye to your sister and your grandpas now" Shawn leaves them back on the ground so that they can keep playing and we walk to Emma's crib
"Hi Emma, it's your mommy"
"And your daddy"
"Listen, we're just gonna be gone for a little bit, okay?" I can see her smiling, she's so adorable
"And we would like you to behave like the good girl you are with grandma Elizabeth and grandpa David, got it princess?" she looks at Shawn with her bright blue icy eyes
"You resemble so much your mother with those eyes! I can't wait to see you all grown up with your own family even though I won't let you date anyone until your 30s" She yawns
"Goodnight baby, sleep tight" we kiss her head and then head to say goodbye to my parents
"Bye mom, bye dad" I hug them
"Bye Sab, remember to be careful"
"I will"
"Bye guys" Both my mom and dad embrace him in a hug, weird, this has never happened before, it feels...warm and comfortable, I love it! At a certain point Connor joins us as well by constantly jumping around us
"Yes, we'll miss you too big boy" I say as I rub his belly, he's so adorable!
"See ya!"
"Bye!" Shawn and I get into the car and he starts driving. The bad feeling from before hasn't faded yet and I see that Shawn looks kinda concerned as well
"Is everything fine?" I ask him
"Yeah...you?" I sigh, I feel like crying now
"I don't know, I have this weird feeling..."
"Yeah, me too"
"I felt like I wasn't saying a 'see you soon!' but more of a 'goodbye forever'. I don't know how to explain it"
"Maybe because it's the first time that we leave Emma?" I look outside the window
"Maybe you're right"

Third Person's POV

Both Shawn and Sabrina get inside the plane. Their bad feeling hasn't faded yet, in fact, it has only grown stronger. They refuse to admit it, but something big is coming into their lives and they know it, they just don't know what that even is yet, they don't have the minimal idea of what's going to happen next, but it's surely bad.
They take their respective seats next to the emergency door, at the back of the plane. As the flight starts the plane has to face some mild turbulence, nothing serious though, it always happens.
"Hey, aren't you tired?" Shawn asks his wife after he notices that she's still worried
"Yeah, a little bit"
"Then you better get some sleep"
"You too" he rolls his eyes in amusement.
"Okay, I'll sleep as well if that's what makes you happy" Sabrina rests her head on his chest while he wraps his right arm around her shoulders.
They finally close their eyes and fall into a deep and relaxed sleep, not knowing that it's gonna be their last one...
