Chapter 59- Forgiveness

Shawn's POV

Since the time that Sabrina caught me smoking weed and Corey left I've been sleeping on the guest room. She doesn't even talk to me, and who can blame her for that? I really fucked up, I might've been stressed but smoking in front of the twins was absolutely the worst thing to do.
I'm getting ready to do an interview with Jimmy Fallon, as I'm trying to put on a tie Sabrina walks in the room
"What are you doing here?" She asks me coldly
"I-I was putting on my suit" I look down
"Can you help me to put on the tie, please?" Yes, this might be a very stupid thing to do but I really miss talking to her
"...Sure" She gets walks up to me and starts fixing it
"Shawn?"
"Yeah?" I say with enthusiasm
"Please don't say anything about...you know" I nod
"I won't, trust me"
"Thank you" She finishes and walks away without saying anything else
"Yeah no problem..." I whisper with a little bit of disappointment before leaving and getting into my car.

"So, how's it going?" Jimmy asks me and I'm super nervous, what if I end up saying too much things? What if-
"You good? Why are you sweating man?" I chuckle nervously
"Sweating? Pft, of course not, I'm just excited to be back here"
"Yeah, you haven't done an interview in like...a month and a half, right?" I smile and nod, I'm finally starting to get more comfortable
"Yeah"
"And why?"
"You know, I've been busy and stuff, having twins is no easy task" The audience laughs
"Yeah I can't even imagine how hard that must be, I mean, you have to change double diapers!" I laugh
"Trust me, that's one of the easiest things to do"
"Really? What's the hardest?"
"Making them sleep during the night, I don't even remember what sleep is since they were born"
"Talking about when they were born" oh no, is he gonna ask me about Sabrina?
"There were some rumors that Sabrina stayed in the hospital due to some complications, is that true?" Well, I can't lie and there were already some articles about it so the best thing to do is confess, right?
"Well yeah, while she was giving birth she had an internal bleeding which caused her to have an emergency C-section and an infection so she lied in a bed hospital for almost two weeks fighting for her life" my voice cracks and my eyes get watery as I remember that period
"But um...sorry I'm emotional" I chuckle sadly and wipe away the tear that is streaming down my face
"It's okay buddy"
"Thankfully she recovered in a couple of weeks and now she's back home"
"Is this why she's taking a break as well?"
"Well, she's actually taking a break because she's currently struggling with her mental health"
"What do you mean?"
"She's been diagnosed with postpartum depression almost a month ago so now she's meeting regularly with a counselor, taking antidepressants and other stuff in order to get better"
"Wow, that sounds pretty tough" I nod
"It is, but we're gonna get through it if I don't mess up anymore"
"Anymore? What did you do?" Jimmy asks me with a smile
"Well, after the twins were born we made some rules like: no weed in front of the babies"
"Ohhhh" I chuckle
"Yeah, so last week she caught me smoking it in the same room where the babies were"
"Well that sounds-"
"I know, long story, trust me"
"And-And how did she react?"
"Let's just say that I'm still sleeping on the guest room" Everyone laughs but then I remember that I shouldn't have said anything about this!
"Damn my fiancé is gonna be so mad at me" Jimmy gasps
"Fiancé?!" Oh god...well it's very late at night so I don't think that Sabrina will see this

Sabrina's POV

"Fiancé?!" Jimmy asks. Unbelievable, Shawn said everything! How could he do that?! And after I asked him not to!
"Yeah yeah" Shawn chuckles
"We've been engaged for eleven months now"
"And why haven't you gotten married yet?!"
"We just don't have the time to plan everything with our schedules and the babies"
"And why didn't you get married before the babies arrival?"
"Even though we wanted them to be present we didn't want them to walk the aisle with their mom you know" They both chuckle
"Yeah I get it, so you announced that you're planning a break? Tell me about it"
"Yeah I am, I wanna take year to reflect and realize everything that had happened in the last four years of my life"
"So, since you've started your relationship with Sabrina?"
"Yeah, I still haven't figured out how such a strong and independent woman laid her eyes  on someone like me, I mean, I still order a happy meal at McDonald's just for the toy!" I slightly chuckle, that was a ver sweet thing to say, still, he's gonna have to deal with me when he'll get back home
"How about her? Is she planning a break as well? Because she said that she was gonna be back in a couple of months"
"I don't know man, she wants get back at work as soon as possible but I don't think that it's the right thing to do, I mean, she's been going through so much things in the last period and she really needs to stop for a second and just breathe"
"I agree"
"She is already dealing with depression and I really want her to be emotionally stable" He starts tearing up again
"I'm fine Shawn...no need to worry about me" I whisper
"That's the only problem with her man, she worries so much about the others that she doesn't care about herself-oh sorry I'm crying again"
"It's okay buddy" Jimmy hands him a napkin
"Thanks man" Shawn wipes away his tears and I feel my cheeks getting wet. Damn it I'm crying as well.
"Moving on, why haven't you posted any pictures of the babies? Or just showed them?"
"If it was for me they would've been in the public eye since the first second they were born. You see, Sabrina and I talked about it for a very long time and came to the conclusion that it was best for everyone if they stayed in the shadow"
"Can you at least tell us how they look like?" Shawn chuckles
"Harry looks exactly like Sabrina and Alex like me"
"Really?" He nods
"Yeah"
"Well thank you Shawn for coming here and being so open with your life and struggles"
"Thank you for having me" they shake hands and I turn off the tv.
He's definitely gonna hear me when he gets back home!

Shawn's POV

I'm in front of the apartment door and I'm hella scared to open it, I just hope that she didn't see the interview and that she was asleep while I was on air. I take a deep breath and finally find the courage to open it and come inside
"What was that?" I hear Sabrina say calmly while she's sitting on the couch
"I-I'm sorry I don't know what got into me" She stands up and walks towards me with confidence. I've never been so scared of her in my entire life
"You're lucky my management team isn't suing you"
"Yeah they called me and-"
"I've solved everything"
"Thank you baby"
"Don't call me that" She gets closer
"S-sure, sorry..." I look down at the floor
"Shawn?"
"Yeah?" She pinches my arm and I flinch
"Ow!"
"This was for revealing everything" I sigh
"I already said that-" She cuts me off by cupping my face with her tiny hands and kissing me with the same lust and passion that she had at the beginning of our relationship. I automatically wrap my hands around her hips and kiss back until she pulls away
"And this is my way to say sorry, I didn't know I made you feel that way" I smile
"Does this mean that I can sleep on our bed?" She smirks
"You can do more than sleeping, you know?" Sabrina takes off her shirt, revealing the scar on her abdomen
"Are you serious?" I say as I look at it. She looks down and blushes
"I mean, if you don't-" I pick her up bridal style and kiss her forehead
"Of course I want to"
"I love you Shawn" She caresses my cheek
"Love you too"
