"I'll see you soon." I say into the radio.

"I'll see you soon." Rick responds. But he unknowingly lied. I wouldn't be seeing him soon.

All those pictures Judith made, He will never see.

Everything he started, he will never see complete.

No. He can't be dead. I won't believe it until I see a body.

I went searching that night but couldn't find anything but washed up walkers. I spent the entire night looking at each ones face. One by one to be sure. It's difficult because most of them were charred. I came back the second night and did the same thing til dawn. Waiting for him to come back. Partly disappointed, partly relieved to not find anything but then it makes me wonder if he is suffering somewhere out there. Or if he had just been burned to bits.

I am interrupted from my thoughts by a knock on the door, but my door is locked so they can't get in. They have been trying to get through to me for a week now.

"Kendall?" A voice calls. I don't respond.

"Kendall, it's Tara. I know you're in there and I just want you to know you can't push us out. We need you. Now more then ever. We don't even know if you're alive in there. You haven't eaten, you probably haven't slept. Everyone's worried. We are having a meeting, planning on where to go next with this in an hour or so in the church. I hope you'll join us."

A single tear streams down my face.

"Kendall please just, can we talk?" She asks growing irritated. I hear a punch on the door and Tara sighing as she walks away in defeat.

I sit in my dark destroyed room, everything thrown around as if a tornado went through it. I eye my map I had, I outlined areas where Rick's body may have washed up but each one I checked there was nothing. I fidget with my radio going through each station one by one and hear nothing but static.

Channel 1, static.

Channel 2, static,

Channel 3, Voices.

Channel 4, static- wait? I quickly switch my channel back to 3. I hear a muffled voice but the static is too strong to make out what it is they are saying. This is Rick and I's private station, why would ANYONE be on here.

"Hello?" I ask awkwardly.

"He-llo?" A voice echos. It is a woman's voice, she has a southern accent that I swear I've heard before but I can't make it out.

"Who are you and why are you on this station?" I ask almost angrily.

"Kendall? Tell Maggie I'm safe." The voice responds.

"Who is this? How do you know Maggie? Is this some kind of a joke because I'm not in the mood." I panic, "tell me who this is."

Then it goes silent. No static. No nothing.

"Hello! Please come back!" I cry out desperately.

I wait by the radio for another twenty minutes and I hear another voice, different from the last one.

"Hello?" The voice asks a bit more clearer. I can tell it's a guy's voice this time.

"Hello? Who is this? How did you get on this station?" The voice sounds familiar but I can't make it out.

"Kendall?" The voice asks but it keeps cutting in and out.

"Yes, this is Kendall. Who is this? Do you need help?" I ask trying a more calm approach.

"No, not anymore. Tell Judith that I'm safe."

"Judith?"

"Yes please tell her I'm okay. I want you to know I'm okay too."
