"I'm afraid I have terrible news."

The sound of absolute silence fills my ears as I speak the events that have occurred. Suddenly all hell breaks loose. I stand in the center on a wooden platform staring down at everyone below. Their faces contoured into anger and shock.

"First Jesus and now this!" Someone screams.

"We need to fight back." An Alexandria resident yells.

"This is all your fault!" Someone shouts at me angrily.

"WE NEED RICK!"

"EVERYONE JUST LISTEN!" I scream.

I waited til the end of the fair to break the news. I felt horrible for ruining such a successful day, well what should have been anyways: My heart is broken for all we have lost. Rosita, a sister to me who I had found out was pregnant. Jim, my best friend. So many people who I loved and cared for, who I couldn't protect.

"I understand everyone is rightfully hurt, frustrated, and shocked. But we can't blindly go after them. We have to do this carefully. If we don't we will lose more and more people. We can't risk everything we've built. I'm sorry it has gotten to this point and we will not let this go. We will arrange for funeral ceremonies in the morning and a town meeting sometime after." I say as everyone eventually leaves and I walk to my home. Outside, Eugene stands angrily pacing back and forth.

"I just, I never got to really tell her how I felt." He says as I already know he is referring to Rosita. "Listen Kendall, you are a hundred percent correct. We can't just go willy nilly into the battlegrounds with blindfolds on. It doesn't take much intelligence to know that. These people, are screaming for war.  What they don't see is that these people have a mass advantage over us. But we too have something up our sleeves, Alpha's daughter. We will do whatever measures it takes if they call bluff. I know it's going to take time, and a whole hell of a lot of planning but I want them dead. All of them."

"We aren't killing Lydia if that is what you are implying. We can't. We aren't like that anymore. She's still a child."

"Lydia has killed people, many of them. She's lost her innocence a long time ago."

"It doesn't make it right. We aren't going to subject her to anymore danger. We can't stoop to their level. We don't know enough about them. Plus Lydia's mother willingly gave her away, threw her to the curb like trash. Who's to say she would even blink if we killed her daughter."

"Well we need to do something Kendall."

"I know you're upset Eugene, as am I, but we shouldn't give them the satisfaction and attention they are seeking right now. We need to focus on our people and take care of those we lost. After we grieve, we plan. But let's just put them to rest first for God's sake."

Eugene pauses and looks as if he wants to speak but he just gives a gentle nod before walking off. I let out a sigh and open my door locking it behind me. I slump to the floor and begin tearing up.

They were right, we do need Rick.

He would know what to do, he would know our next move. I've never had to deal with something like this. Especially on top of all the other stresses. I feel so alone. Michonne is supposed to have my back but she can't even handle herself right now. I fear all this stress is going to cause a miscarriage. I've been getting a bit fuller but not nearly enough to tell I'm pregnant but I know eventually I will be unable to hide it.

Lydia isn't safe here at Alexandria, she isn't safe at Hilltop either but she has a better survival rate there than here. Maybe if Henry hides her somewhere. I go out looking for them and run into Tara. She has tear-mark stained on her cheeks.
