The wedding was over and my dad and his new wife were leaving for their honeymoon, I hugged Dad, "Bye Daddy" I said, then I kissed Cristal on the cheek and said "Cristal", they were about to leave but then a car came in and Claudia Blaisdel came out of it, "He, tried to quit but you sent him to that place, it was no accident, YOU KILLED MY HUSBAND!!" she screamed, is she talking to Daddy, what the hell is going on?

Fallon, Steven and I came walking down the stairs this is insane, then I saw Stansfield what is he doing here? "Stansfield? I haven't seen him since he cleared you of your -- what was it a DUI charge?" said Fallon, that was actually her, I would laugh but someone just died and it was someone that I knew so I wasn't in the mood. "That was you, the week after he got you off for indecent exposure" said Steven, "When have I ever looked indecent? Maybe Dad will actually make his honeymoon now" she asked, "Speaking of Dad where is he?" I asked, "In with his lawyers" said Steven, "Well I need to find Jake and my friends, I don't know how they're going to get out of here in one piece" I said to them, "I have to find Jeff and Monica said, Fallon, then we looked for our friends together and found them in our Dining room, they were all talking about what went down and looking at the news, "So what are they saying about the accident? I know it's gauche in the wake of a man's death, but I feel like one little decapitation shouldn't blow the deal" said Fallon but I cut her off, "Seriously Fallon, someone got killed and you're thinking about a business deal this is tragic" I said while I wrapped my arms around Jake from behind while he was sitting in his chair and I kissed him on the cheek, she rolled her eyes at me "Hold on, you two actually bought the wind farm before the explosion?" asked Monica, Oh my god this is insane and they bought the vehicles too, they could be he held liable for so much. "Hey we started negotiations" said Jeff, "Maybe I shouldn't have quit my job and told my dad to go shove it," said Fallon, "Wait you quit your Job why?" I asked, "I'll explain later" she told me. "Hey, it's the smartest thing you've ever done" said Jeff, Okay, that story is probably going to be way too long for my taste. "Well, what are they saying about the accident, not for any business purposes of course?" I pointed out, "They're talking about the fact that it could have been murder" said Ryder, "What the hell? that's insane" I said, "But they don't have any leads on anything yet so I'm guessing someone needs to make a PR statement" said Veronica, "Don't worry Scarlett, they don't have any information yet" said Ariel and I nodded, then Michael and Luke came in, "You need me?" Michael asked Fallon, "Culhane. Can you bring Jeff's car around and escort them out? The estate is crawling with paparazzi." Fallon asked, Culhane, took the keys from Jeff and said "Let's get you out of here.", then I turned to Luke "Oh and Luke can you do the same for Ryder and Ben, oh and can you please drive Jake and Rory home?" I asked, "Sure." he said and I gave him a thankful smile, I hate asking too much of our staff, I know it's in their job description but Anders always puts them to work. Fallon and I walked our friends out, I was talking to Veronica "Someone died today, and all she's talking about is work and avoiding a lawsuit" I said to her, she nodded and gave me a smile, "Well thanks for coming guys I don't know how I would've survived this wedding without you" I told them, "Hey, this was actually fun, A surprise wedding, corporate battle between your sister and your dad's new wife than a murder mystery I mean  talk about till death do us part" said Rory, I rolled my eyes at her, "Oh and not to mention that your stepmom was-" I cut her off before she can say anything "Hey! his wife is sitting in our living room right now so zip it!" I whisper yelled at her and then she was quiet. "Colby, what are you still doing in my house?" Daddy asked as he walked over to us, "Seriously Dad?" I said to him, "It's okay Scar, Trying to leave." Jeff answered him, "I warned you, you were getting in over your head by buying that wind farm. Now, look what you dragged my daughter into. I rolled my eyes is this really happening right now? and in front of Jake, this is insane. "For the record I dragged him." said Fallon, "But thanks for the advice, Blake." Jeff said, he kissed Fallon on the cheek and she did the same when he gave me a hug and left. I hugged my friend's goodbye and Jake, "Sorry you had to witness this today, I'll see you tomorrow after class" I said and he nodded then kissed me on the cheek". Then Luke escorted them to their cars. "You did warn us about making that purchase, didn't you? Almost as if you knew something was going to happen." Fallon said to Dad, I am not getting into this right now with them "Get in the office, you too Scarlett I need your legal mind for this." Dad said to me and Fallon. We started talking outside of Dad's study, "What the hell happened? and you guys bought the farm? and you quit your job like what is going on?" I asked Fallon, "Well, you already know that dad hired Cristal as CEO so I quit my job and I am going to start my own company Carrington Windbriar with Jeff's backing, and yes we bought the farm but did we have any idea that the vehicle was going to explode no that is on Carrington Atlantic." Fallon explained to me. Well then, that's a lot to take in, we walked into the office and I saw Steven sitting in a chair, Fallon sat on one chair arm and I grabbed one of the chairs by Dad's table and put on the other side of Steven's chair. "Here's what I can tell you. Detectives at the scene think there was a malfunction with the thumper truck. The blast seriously injured Blaisdel and a shard struck the wind turbine that sealed the deal. But the faulty truck was Carrington Atlantic owned and operated" said Detective Stansfield, Okay this is insane Carrington Atlantic could get sued for this, then Dad and Cristal walked into the office, "Legal has assured me I'm covered. This is what we have insurance for." said Dad, I rolled my eyes. "Well yeah dad since you are covered it's very likely that this could be ruled out as an accident but if Matthew's family wants to sue then they actually have grounds to sue for neglect and endangerment of other workers because Carrington Atlantic should have checked their equipment before sending it into the wind farm, not to mention that they could sue for negligent infliction of emotional distress and if this does become a murder case it could get worse the company might be safe but you might not be, I mean these are just all precautions that you need to take Daddy " I said and the lawyers agreed with what I was saying and Dad said "That's why they invented Settlements" , "A settlement would be ideal in such Lawsuits" said one of tbe lawyers, I rolled my eyes at the lawyer  "Yeah that's if they settle" I said to him, "Insurance? Settlement? Blake a man died." said Cristal, she's right and I feel horrible that this happened around my father's company but Dad did ask me for my legal expertise and I just gave him advice, "I know and if I don't put my emotions aside, this family will bleed billions." said Dad, I rolled my eyes. "Or you could end up in prison for murder and since you have a motive in the eyes of the law the FBI could get involved." I stated, he ignored me when I said that and continued "Now I have a responsibility to our investors-" but then Fallon cut him off "You also have a horde of press waiting outside for a statement." I nodded, "Yeah that can actually help soften the blow a little bit" I told him and another lawyer agreed with me, "Luckily, your head of PR is here. Who better to announce the victim?" said Fallon, okay this is for Fallon's own vendetta against her but I agree PR needs to handle this. "I'll handle the statement." said dad, okay that's funny and it probably won't end well "That's a terrible idea." said Fallon and I nodded, Then one of the lawyers said "I agree PR should handle" it's true it's only going to implicate Daddy more if he tries that, "Can I get a minute with my family please?" Dad asked the lawyers and Stansfield and they all left, then Fallon whispered to Cristal and I looked at Steven yeah we both are thinking the same thing 'Why did we come back home?', "I feel for you. Honestly, I do. I mean you must be exhausted. Having to take on so many roles in one day. COO, wife, mistress, widow? or will you leave Claudia that scrap?" Fallon asked her, "That's enough" said Dad, yeah I agree she's outside so we don't need to traumatize her any more than she is right now. "I'm sorry, have I missed something?" Steven asked, seriously bro get with the program. "Oh just that Cristal was screwing the dead guy" Fallon said to Steven, "Yeah, didn't I tell you yesterday Steven?" I said to him, "Yeah, but you never said that they were having an affair" he replied to me, "His wife is right outside" Cristal said to us, "Didn't stop you before" Fallon said to her, I smiled a little bit Fallon can be funny most of the time "When was this?" Steven asked dad, "It was before we were together" Dad responded to him I can see the jealousy in his eyes, " I assume Claudia doesn't know, surely she would've led with that" Steven said then took a sip of his scotch, I giggled that is true. "Congratulations Cristal." Fallon said, "Fallon." said Dad trying to stop her from saying anything else, "Yeah Fallon, come on please don't poke the bear." I said to her, she paused and then said "That means you got away with it" does she really need to provoke daddy right now he's going to throw something and I hate the sound of broken glass I ducked and yup he threw his glass on top of the fireplace just missing Fallon, "Seriously Dad, you scared Scarlett" Steven said to him he knows I hate it when dad does that, "Don't worry Scar he missed" she said to him to get on his nerves even more and I rolled my eyes. "We are not doing this right now. Everyone will be pulling us apart over this so we need to come together to protect our family" said Dad, "You mean our business" said Cristal, in the eyes of a Carrington our business is our family, "Same thing." Fallon and Dad said at the same time. Fallon got up and said "You wanted her to be your COO. Let's see what she's made of." said Fallon, I'm not her biggest fan but I feel bad it's not like I want her to be publically humiliated so I'm going to hope that she pulls this off. "Steven I'm hungry let's go to the kitchen" I said to him, then we walked to the kitchen and there was a handsome guy scarfing down our food. "Who the hell are you?" I asked him, "I'm Sam, Cristal's nephew who are you?" he asked me, I rolled my eyes "I'm Scarlett, Blakes daughter" Since when do I have to explain who I am to people in my house. "Ah, I guess this means we're family now, Hola? cousin" he said to me and I rolled my eyes, "You're eating my Pizza Pockets" I said glaring at him, "Hey it was the only real food here and why is this only cheese where's the meat?" he asked, how rude? not even apologizing for eating my food, "I'm a pescatarian I don't eat meat, just sea food" I said and took the plate of pizza pockets and started eating them, I know that might've been mean but no one messes with my food.
