After Joshua woke up, which was followed by excessive panic attacks and extensive yelling, I introduced him to the sins. He still doesn't believe me but I'll have to give him time.

The house was normal, louder yes, but still quite normal. Well, as normal as a house could be provided the circumstance. However, something felt off about my room and I couldn't quite grasp what it was.

I walked over to my dresser and picked up this jar that my mother gave to me before she died six years ago. I really miss her but I guess you just move on. There is nothing I could have done about it. I know, that if there was heaven, she would be there, watching me, and hoping that I wouldn't grieve for too long.

In the jar, I kept all my memories. Going through the pictures and items is nostalgic but it keeps me rooted on the present. You see, I'm a nostalgic person, it's a mental disorder, according to my doctor. I live in the time before my mother's passing because I don't believe that there is a time after that. Messed up, right? I couldn't quite accept my life in the present. This jar holds memories of the time before my mother died, so I could live in the present but remember the past when I wanted to.

While on my journey back to memory lane, I heard a light knock on my door.

"Yeah?" I said aloud.

Joshua pushed the door open slowly. He shoved his hands in his pocket and sat next to me on the bed. Most of the time we don't talk to each other, the each others presence was more than enough. His hand snaked into mine and held on to it. The gesture was intimate but made me feel secure. It said: I know you're scared, but you don't have to be scared alone.

I heard a loud bang come from downstairs and I bolted to the lounge. On the floor was a vase from my counter and beside it was a furious wrath.

"What the hell?" I yelled.

Wrath let lose a few colourful phrases mixed in with some language I didn't quite comprehend. Who was he yelling at? Greed had pulled Wrath back and tried to calm him down. Sparks flew off over Wrath's head, which made me scared that maybe he might catch fire.

Once Wrath had calmed down, which took two hours, I carefully asked what had happened.

Gluttony, who was eating a pizza, began to explain, "you see, we were contacted from Hell and we were given an assignment."

"What assignment?" Joshua pressed.

"Zip it, church boy," Wrath threatened, sparks forming once again.

Joshua backed away and allowed Gluttony to finish what he was saying, but Gluttony took more interest in finishing his pizza.

Envy continued the story, "there is an object that is misplaced and it belonged to someone very important in Hell, Lucifer himself, and he is quite outraged due to not possessing that object. He simply instructed us to find it."

"How are you going to find it?" I questioned.

"Simple: go to a Seer," Sloth said, still lying down on my couch, as if we knew that. He definitely remained true to his persona.

"What's a Seer?" Joshua asked.

Wrath growled but I cut him off, "what is a Seer?"

"A Seer is a gifted person who is able to see everything and everyone for a price," Envy explained.

"I knew a Seer. I dated her. She was quite boring," Pride unnecessarily informed.

Ignoring Pride's comment, Envy continued, "A Seer will inform us the whereabouts of the missing object for a price. Upon fulfilling the request, we would be giving a hidden message which would allow us to track down the misplaced object."

"Who is Lucifer?" I asked.

"Really? Did you really just ask that?" Joshua mocked.

"He is the ruler of Hell. A demon. A devil. A killer. He created us, using blood of the dead, piecing us together bone by bone. He gave a small percentage of his power to us to do his dirty work, while he rests on his throne. He is the epitome of evil and his history is complex. He never even told us anything about him and we've been working with him for over 100 million years," Lust explained.

I nodded. My mind still needed time to process all the information going in it. I nodded once again.

"So I have two questions, one: what is the missing object. Two: where do we find a Seer?"

"Answer number one: I don't know and answer number two: I don't know," Sloth very helpfully answered.

"Wait, why do you keep saying 'we'? You aren't going with them!" Joshua interjected.

Lust, who remained quiet for sometime, approached Joshua and spoke in his husky voice, "listen, we need her. We were sent to her house out of all the houses in the world, which is estimated at 1.7 billion. There is an obvious connection don't you think?"

Joshua gulped. Lust was very convincing when he wanted to be. I could see the tension between the two so I had to intervene.

"Yeah sorry to interrupt that but you said I don't know to both my questions so what do we do?"

"Sleep," Sloth suggested.

"Dwell in my beauty?" Pride suggested.

"Have sex?" Lust suggested with an eye roll, "let's decide in the morning. Right now, I want to sleep."

"You guys sleep?" Joshua stupidly asked. The next thing I knew, my best friend was hurled into the wall by an invisible force. He fell to the floor with a thump and groaned as he massaged my head. I ran to his aid, cursing at the person who did that.

"Thank you for doing that. He was getting on my nerves!" Someone thanked.

Anger boiled in me as I helped him up. I escorted him to my room and laid him down. Going back downstairs, I managed to take a few calming breaths in before seeing them once again.

Sloth had fallen asleep, no surprise there. Gluttony was eating a piece of cake, again not a shocker. Pride was looking at himself in the mirror and Wrath was fuming.

"What was that for?" I yelled.

"He's annoying," Wrath answered.

"Yeah but that doesn't mean you fling him across the room!" I retorted.

Wrath shrugged and began to yawn. I went into the store and gave them a bunch of pillows and blankets. Not waiting for them to say anything, I retreated back to my room.

This is going to be a long night.

The next morning came by extremely quickly. Yawning, I got out of bed and headed downstairs to make breakfast. As soon as I reached there, I saw that my dining table was filled with different types of food from all over the world.

Sloth walked in the room holding a bunch of plates and lazily smiled as we made eye contact. Gluttony was sitting at the end of the table with his eyes closed. Suddenly a tray of pancakes popped up on the table. I watched in awe as the table became filled.

Slowly, the room began to fill up with people, and this is the first time that this room had become lively since my mother's passing. We feasted on all these exotic breakfasts and drank liquids fit for a God.

I asked why they did that and Gluttony replied, "it was the least we could do. You know, for nearly killing your friend."

"Twice," Wrath proudly corrected.

After breakfast Joshua left, leaving me alone with the sins, even though he was reluctant on leaving. That's when things started to get crazy.
