"Finally," he grinned.

Lucifer extended his hand and took the chalice from Wrath. I thought the chalice looked wicked in the hands of the sins but when Lucifer held it...

"Let's go Maia," Wrath called.

"What's the rush, Wrath?" Lucifer cooed.

Before Lucifer insisted on us staying, Wrath held onto me and flew us down the hill.

"Are you alright?" He asked, eyes full of concern.

"Yes Wrath I'm fine," I confirmed. I looked into his eyes and tried to find the "love" Lucifer talked about. I don't see it.

"Did he say anything to you?" He pushed, "anything at all...that made you uncomfortable?"

I lied, "no he didn't. Even if he did what would you have done?"

He looked hurt, "I would have kept you away from him so he wouldn't say anything. I would have stayed by your side whenever you did encounter him. I would have done something Maia because I-"

"Hey guys!" Joshua yelled.

I heard Wrath groan and shoot fire at Joshua's feet, making him gasp and run away. I heard Wrath mutter some words in his language which I'm sure aren't nice words.

"Come on! I'll show you our place," Wrath called.

Wrath guided me to the ginormous castle and took me in. The interior was black but it was fit for a king...literally. The place was huge. Maybe the entire Kingdom could fit on here. Nothing about the room stood out besides the huge black throne in the centre. Behind the black throne was seven smaller, different coloured thrones.

One for each sin.

"Wow..." I muttered.

Wrath took me up the stairs which were covered with velvet. Normally the stairs groaned underneath me, but no sound came from the stairs right now. Wrath took me through a series of black hallways and occasionally a near dead human crossed me, cleaning up any thing he sees that required cleaning.

"This is my room," Wrath said, "it's not as cool as yours but it's fine for me."

I pushed open the door, unable to hide my excitement. Wrath's room was huge...disappointment. I expected a ginormous room full of trinkets and tapestries, full of gold and jewels, but what I got was a simple room. A simple bed covered in a simple bedspread. It was black - no shock there - and red and white. Across that was a bookshelf lined with books in foreign languages: Spanish, French, Italian, German, English and Latin. Right beside the bookshelf was a chair for him to sit and read or contemplate on life. He had a table lined across his window, stacked with books once again. Pens were scattered all over his desk and a quill dipped in an ink jar sat in the corner. A pile of paper was right in the center, allowing quick access to it.

"I know you expected more," Wrath apologised.

"No no! Your room looks good...just simple," I replied. I wasn't necessarily lying here. His room did look good.

"I'm not the kind of person to live with luxury. I like simple things. Unlike my brothers, who had it all, and my father, I like simplicity and comfort. All my brothers have more extravagant rooms compared to mine but I guess if my whole life was demon, I wanted a part of it to be human too hence the room."

Wrath's words struck my heart. He really wanted to be normal. I really wanted to he normal too. To me, my life wasn't mundane even before the sins showed up, after they did...well that was the cherry on top of the cake.

"I'm sorry this sucks," he said.

"No no...really it doesn't suck at all. I like this room!" I comforted.

"No that's not what I meant. I mean I'm sorry that you had to go through all this. You know, us showing up at your place, then you having to come with us all over the country, then meeting the virtues in heaven and lastly meeting Fa-Lucifer...that sucks."

I watched him ramble on and on, this feeling was normal. This feeling was mundane, "I'm glad I did."

He looked up at me with confused eyes as I continued, "I'm glad you came to my house. Without that, I wouldn't have met you guys, I wouldn't have made new friends, I wouldn't have gone on this supernatural adventure. Don't apologise Wrath, I'm thanking you for this opportunity."

"Nice acceptance speech," Lust commented, while he leaned against Wrath's door frame.

"Why are you here?" Wrath said, not harshly rather sadly.

"Father called," he stated. No explanation. No repetition. Nothing. And nothing more was required.

We met the Lord of Evil, who sat comfortably on his throne. He held the chalice in his hand, studying it hard.

"You called?" Wrath asked.

"Oh right yes. You've never seen what the chalice can do right?"

Murmurs erupted for our small group.

"Wrath! Come here!" Lucifer commanded, "draw some blood and pour it in! You too Maia!"

"What? No!" I retorted, "use someone else's blood! You can command your own children around but not me...I'm not your child or servant."

"Maia just do it," Sloth whispered.

"No why should I? He is perfectly capable of using another human and demon's blood so why should he use ours. Wrath I swear if you put your blood in that coffee mug I will leave and never talk to you!"

Wrath backed away from his father who sat there completely shocked. Suddenly, he began to grin.

"Can you all leave us? I want to have a talk with Maia," he requested, actually no...He commanded.

Once everyone had left, which took a very long time, he asked, "do you know what your 'vision' meant when you were in the River of Cupiditatem?"

"No."

"Let me explain it to you," he grinned.

Authors note:

Right so this chapter took so long to write, mainly because school is very hectic atm and I couldn't think of what to write.

Sorry if this chapter wasn't that good! I'll update sometime during the weekend. I got to consult my advisor, who is my best friend.

Question: what do you think Maia's vision means?
