Billie was rehearsing what she would say to her friends after she killed the Argents that night. She had just gotten ready for the formal that had already started a few minutes ago, but she was reluctant to leave as even though Peter hadn't told her his plan to take down the hunters, she did know was that it was happening tonight.

A car pulling up outside broke the girl away from staring at herself in the mirror, and even if the occasion wasn't the most pleasant of ones, Billie couldn't help but admire herself in the mirror. Her v-neck dress was a blood-red colour that was tight at the top and flowed right at the bottom, which accentuated her curves. Her red hair was down, and her makeup was done to perfection just like always.

With a final sigh and one last swipe of her signature red lipstick, Billie soon left her large house and took the short journey to Beacon Hills high school in some random jocks car who Lydia had hooked her up with. However, once she had turned up to the formal, the teen was soon ditched, and she went straight over to sit next to Stiles and Lydia who she had spotted. The duo looked rather bored, and once Billie had sat between the two, she couldn't help but smile slightly at what the teen boy was saying to the redhead.

"Lydia, I've had a crush on you since the third grade. And I know that somewhere inside that cold, lifeless exterior there's an actual human soul. And I'm also pretty sure that I'm the only one who knows how smart you really are. So, get off your cute little ass and dance with me now." Stiles huffed out as he now looked down at the girl. Lydia took a second to reply, but when her friend kicked her lightly from under the table, with a slight glare to Billie she quickly grabbed the boys hand and dragged him over to the dance floor.

The vampire smiled brightly as she watched her two close friends dance as she knew how much Stiles liked the girl. But once she got the dreaded text that had told her to meet the alpha outside on the lacrosse field, this smile soon turned to a scowl as she quickly stood up and followed Peter's orders.

Billie knew deep down that she didn't want to betray her new friends, but once she remembered Elijah's life was on the line, she soon pushed her doubtful thoughts behind her. The girl's heels sunk slightly into the damp grass as she walked towards the dark figure that stood in the middle of the field, but what she never expected to see was another person next to him - someone, who she recognised all too well.

"Klaus, what the hell are you doing here?"

The original vampire smirked down at the girl who he hadn't seen in many years, and even if he didn't exactly enjoy the teenager's company due to his own personal problems, he knew he owed his brother this one favour.

"I promised Elijah that I'd take care of you and that's what plan on doing," Klaus spoke out as she stepped forward to grab the girl slightly. Billie was confused as to what the man was doing, but once she heard the voice of one of her best friends, she quickly realised that Klaus had grabbed her in order to not let her stop Peter from doing what he had just done.

Lydia's scream echoed through the wind, and the other redhead hadn't realised she was screaming until Klaus began to drag her away from the now unconscious girl.

"Klaus, why - why did he bite her!" Billie screamed out as she was dragged even further away from the disaster that Stiles had now joined. But the brutal man didn't say a word to the girl, and instead, he hauled her into his car and locked the doors once the two vampires were situated inside of it.

"I know this may look evil, but Elijah and I... we're complicated. We've hurt each other and punished one another more times than I can count, but in the end, he's my family. And over the centuries that I've lived, I've learned one crucial thing - family is everything. Please don't judge my actions too quickly Billie." Klaus confessed as he began to drive off from the back of the school.

Even though the girl had listened intently to the man beside her, all she could think about was Lydia's possibly dead body that only a few minutes ago lay at her feet. It didn't even cross the girl's mind as to why the man was suddenly so nice to her after centuries of being terrible to her, but she didn't question it once they pulled up to her house and he had, yet again, dragged her out of the car.

"Change into something more comfortable and meet me back in the car, don't do anything stupid, love, because you know I will end you if you do," Klaus demanded. This seemed to bring the traumatised girl back to reality as she quickly ran upstairs and changed out of her elegant dress and into some leggings, a hoodie and some casual sneakers that she had found in the back of her closet.

The redhead wasn't sure as to why she followed Klaus's wishes, but the man did scare her slightly, so she did what he said and quickly joined him back in the car. Where she didn't expect to head to was Beacon Hills hospital, but the vampire next to the girl soon explained.

"Billie, I recently learned that when you find something worth fighting for, you never give up. Now get inside that bloody hospital and help out your friends."
