"You ain't gotta front for your friends, you know I had you at hello," - Lloyd

Lacey's visit home was just what she needed. When she got back to LA, she was ready to do work. She had some fresh video ideas and new contacts to follow up on while she and Drena prepared to go to a few industry parties they had been invited to. With her friend, Whitney, set to come out to LA in a couple weeks, Lacey was looking forward to the month of May.

"We need someone to send invoices for us," Lacey said, pushing her rolling chair back and leaning on the computer desk.

"Amen!" Drena said. "This is boring."

"Yeah, but them paid emails ain't."

"Glory!" Drena said, throwing her hands up. "Speaking of! That woman who wants me to redo her wardrobe just paid in full!"

"Look at God!" Lacey said. Drena jumped up and did a little dance. Lacey laughed as she did a church clap for Drena. They both laughed as Drena sat back down.

"I take it back, Lord," Drena said. "This ain't boring at all.....Your contest ending soon?"

Lacey sighed. "I think I want to push it back another week. I haven't gotten many submissions."

Drena nodded while scrolling through her emails. "Oh, industry party alert."

"Something fun?" Lacey asked.

"Maybe...supposed to be an RCA party. Some new artists showcase."

"They have some big names," Lacey said.

"Hopefully some of those big names would be there," Drena said. "I'd love to get some networking in."

"Sounds dope," Lacey said. "When is it?"

"May 18."

"Oh," Lacey said, looking up. "Any plus ones? My friend, Whit, will be in town."

"We get one, plus us."

"Were you wanting it?" Lacey asked.

Drena shook her head. "I'm cool with your friend. She cool? Like we don't need anyone spazzing over celebs."

"Yeah she's cool. She's actually the one I told you convinced me to start my channel in the first place. She'll be chill," Lacey said, smiling. "And that's one less thing I'll have to find for us to do."

Drena laughed. "You so boring, friend."

"Man, my people come out here and think I'm a damn tour guide."

Drena laughed as the phone rang.

"Thank you for calling FACE where we help you focus all creative energy, how can I help you?" Lacey said.

"Do you have any space available today?"

"We're actually booked today, but we may have some space tomorrow morning. What type of room would you need?" Lacey asked, pulling up their scheduling system on the computer.

"A media room. I need to edit a video."

"We have a slot at 10a in our red room," she said. "Do you have an account with us?"

"I'm going to write," Drena mouthed to Lacey as she continued the call. Lacey nodded before finishing up the call. She ended up manning the phones for another thirty minutes before she turned the answering service on and headed back to her own office.

Before she caught herself, creeping on Carson's social media, she went to Rici's. She laughed at a few videos of Savannah. She reposted one and got over 1000 likes within 30 minutes. Rici sent her a message saying she wanted royalties. Lacey laughed before getting off social media and getting some work done. She wanted to have enough content ready to post before she took a few days off to chill with Whitney when she came.
