Cassidy smiled at the dishes being cleaned from the night before. Ever since their other roommate, Sarayah moved out to stay with her boyfriend, she and Megan were happy. They didn't mind Sarayah, but she wasn't the cleanest person. Megan and Cassidy had a routine and both of them appreciated a clean space. It made things a lot easier in their apartment.

Cassidy looked up to see Megan coming out of her bedroom. She smiled before turning to get her a clean coffee mug.

"Morning doll face," Cassidy said. Megan playfully rolled her eyes. "I'm hella mad you don't have an 8a class."

"But I got up and made you breakfast," Cassidy pouted, opening the donut box as she passed Megan the cup. They laughed as Megan made her coffee as she liked and sat on the bar stool. She watched Cassidy clean up and smirked.

"Why you so happy?"

"Huh?" Cassidy asked, not looking up at her.

"You acting different."

"Who said that?"

Before Cassidy responded, they heard the toilet flush. Megan gasped and looked back at her roommate. Cassidy bit her lip.

"Okay, I definitely made my slide leave last night, so..." Cassidy blushed and nodded. "That's Fedex bae?" Megan whispered.

"Yeah," Cassidy said.

"And weren't you over at his place the other night?" Megan asked, waving her finger from Cassidy and her bedroom door.

"Yeah..."

"What happened to you taking it slow?" Megan asked.

Cassidy sighed. "It's not possible."

Megan laughed. "I gotta get to class, but we talking about this later. Believe that!"

Cassidy laughed, glad that Megan was leaving so she didn't have to explain at that moment. She heard her bedroom door open and she tried to hide her smile.

"Is it safe?" Rell said, peeking out the door with a smirk. Cassidy laughed.

"Yes, come eat."

Cassidy watched as Rell bit his lip, sliding smoothly from behind her bedroom door. All he had on was his shorts but the sun hitting his skin was enough for Cassidy. She tried to busy herself with fixing him a plate, but was soon laughing as he picked her up and put her on the counter.

"My food smells good," he said, pushing his face into her neck. Cassidy laughed.

"You play."

He smirked, leaning back to look at her. "How y'all afford to stay at Sofi?" he asked. Cassidy chuckled. They got that question a lot.

"Student loans and parents," she said. "Your place decent while you talking."

"Not as decent as yours...Can I take you out today?" he asked. Cassidy ran her nails over his chin, smiled and shook her head no. He stopped smiling and she laughed. "For real?"
