Michael's POV
As I got on the carousel holding my son tight in my arms I couldn't stop looking at Diana there was something about her that caught my eye
"So Diana was it" I laughed
"Yes?" She said
"I don't mean this in a rude way and you may correct me if you feel like it's rude"
"What is it?"
"Well I- I umm just wanted to know if by any chance your umm single?"
"Yes I am"
I looked at her surprised a man has be a damn fool to leave a woman like her , or just down right stupid
"Are you single Michael"
I looked at her surprised and told myself
you might as well say yea .. Whitney isn't coming back
"Yes" I said lowly looking away from her
"How come? If you don't mind me asking"
"I don't mind at all , my sons mother left us a few days after she gave birth to him .. since then it's just been me and my Lil guy"

Diana's POV
I looked at him regretting asking him that question because his joyful smile slowly faded away
"Hey Michael let's try another ride"
"Yea that's a good idea just umm give me a moment" he said
I watched as he handed his son to his security guard ,Bill I think he said his name was , as we walked to the Ferris wheel He wrapped his arms around my waist very gently and sat me in the ride I smiled at him as he sat down next to me "Thank you"
Michael's POV
As Diana smiled I couldn't hold myself back anymore I turned my head slowly placing a gentle kiss upon her cheek "Thank you" I said
I watched as she opened her eyes wider then smiled I placed my hand in hers, she's unlike any woman I've ever been with she hasn't tried to have sex with me nor persuade me to be with her .. she was simply being my friend I didn't think this was possible as we got off the Ferris wheel and walked into the house my heart was racing her hand was still holding mine
"Hey umm Diana, it's getting kind of late so if you want to you can stay over if you'd like I have many guest bedrooms"
Diana's POV
Did he just ask me to spend the night?! He did!
"I'd love to but is it okay if I lay down with you"
"Oh sure I umm I just didn't want you to feel uncomfortable in my house" he said with that goofy shy smile on his face
"I'm fine trust me I feel very comfortable here Michael" my heart began to race and my head was spinning
"Well If you want you can go take a shower I have to go check on my son"
"May I come?" It slipped out of my mouth so fast
"Sure I don't mind"
