"I knew your people were weak, but I didn't think they were weak enough to run from a fight they started," Emersyn observes from beside me and I scoff,

"This is Clarke's doing. Trust me when I say leaving is the last thing I want to do," I cross my arms over my chest, looking over the lines of people prepared to leave. I have a small bag slung over my shoulders, carrying a few sets of clothes and the extra clips I still have for the pistol Kane gave me what seems like years ago,

"Alright, everyone time to go," Clarke's voice carries itself over the crowds of people to where me and Em are standing, and we both sigh.

To Em, leaving before a battle is a disgrace of momentous proportions, and I had to talk her out of staying and fighting the grounder army on her own. I have no doubt she'd be able to hold her own for a while, but she can't fight off hundreds of warriors.

I slowly fall into line behind the crowd, Emersyn not leaving my side. I watch as Raven is lifted up in her stretcher and carried in front of me, her face pinched in pain. When I heard that the shots Murphy fired had hit the girl, I was upset to say the least. I still have no idea how I feel about the boy... he's my family but he also tried to kill the people I love, and he almost killed Raven. Not to mention he pretty much doomed our entire camp.

The people in front of me are solemn and quiet as we slowly leave the camp, everyone's faces set on the ground in front of them. I take one last look at the camp before walking forward, the rest of the camp already a few yards ahead of us,

"C'mon Kitten, lets go," Bellamy and Clarke appear behind me, and he shoots me a small smile before walking past me. I give Em an exasperated look before continuing on, walking deeper and deeper into grounder territory.

I notice how much more focused Em gets the further we get from camp, her swords are constantly in her hands, and her body seems like it's getting ready for battle. After walking for a short amount of time, everyone ahead of me stops, and I peer ahead. Seeing nothing, I run over to where Bellamy is =,

"Why'd we stop?" I ask, and he holds a finger to his lips. I nod my head in understanding, and slide my pistol into my hands. I hold it with a readied and practiced hand, aiming at the trees around me.

The campers are dead quiet as we all look around nervously. I blink my eyes as a spinning object zips through the air, and I watch helplessly as the thing collides with a boy's face. He drops to the floor in a dead heap, and Jasper looks around at us with a crazed expression,

"Grounders!" he calls out, and everyone around me breaks out in a mad dash back towards the camp. I'm pulled from my stupor by Bellamy dragging me by my jacket in the direction of safety, and even when I begin to run with him, he doesn't release his hold on me.

When everyone finally reaches the safe walls of camp, everyone is frantic and breathing hard. Automatically, people take positions on the wall, and Bellamy leads me to one of the positions before joining them.

I sigh before climbing up the wall with ease, and switching my pistol for the rifle strapped to my back. I keep my eyes trained on the forest in front of me, but upon seeing no movement, I turn briskly around and climb down the wall,

"We were attacked by scouts. The army is most likely a few hours or more behind," Emersyn explains, and Octavia moves forward,

"If it's just scouts, we can fight our way through. That's what Lincoln would do," she announces, and Bellamy hops down from his spot on the wall,

"We're done doing what that grounder would do. We tried it, and now Drew is dead," he retorts, and Finn shakes his head,

"That grounder saved our lives, and for all we know there's one scout out there," Finn reasons and I roll my eyes,
