My heart is pounding against my chest as I desperately try to cover the wound in Roan's chest, even through the bleeding seems to have stopped, which I know can't be a good sign,

"Someone help!" I scream as I place his head in my lap, tears already threatening to spill as I try to find someone who can help. People around m are scrambling to find a healer, and already a crowd is beginning to grow around me,

"The king is alive!" I hear people shout around me, but I ignore them as I try to find some form of help,

"Don't just stand there! Get someone to heal his ass!" I shout at the onlookers, but my words seem to fall on deaf ears as they simply stare at their king, their own eyes brimmed with unshed tears,

"Kat?" I look up as Clarke, and Abby push through the crowd, and once Clarke's eyes fall on Roan's unconscious body, she instantly crouches down next to me,

"Help him, please," I whisper in the most gentle and desperate voice I could muster, and she grabs his body out of my reach, her hands roaming over his torso as she observes him,

"I thought he was dead," Clarke marvels as she checks his pulse,

"Not yet, but he's close," Abby observes, and my gaze shoots up as Kane walks up behind them, his face grave as he looks at Roan. A part of me bursts with anger as I remember that he was the one who shot him, but I quickly wrestle the feeling down as I remind myself it was Alie, it was all her.

Abby flips his body around to look at his back, before sharing a look with Clarke, "No exit wound. We need to get the bullet out quickly," I lean forward to help her set him back on his side when the cold feeling of a blade against my neck causes me to still,

"Get away from our king," I hear from behind me, and my entire body tenses as I feel hands on my arms lifting me up as the blade is pressed tighter against my neck,

"You're making a mistake, we're part of the coalition," Kane intercedes, stepping forward in my defense,

"I can save him, but you have to let me," Abby adds, her voice calm as she tries to reason with whoever is behind me,

"We have our own healer," the women behind me spits, "Take the king to the embassy with the rest of our dead. Do it now!" I watch as an unfamiliar man begins to grope and prod at Roan, his hands checking the damage done as more people move forward to remove Roan from the scene,

"Echo!" I look away from Roan to see Bellamy quickly approaching us, his face pinched in fear and anger as he takes me in,

"Bellamy, don't," Clarke cautions as she puts an arm out to stop him from going any further,

"I'm fine Bellamy. But their king won't be if they don't let us help," I yelp as the women presses the blade further into my throat, it's sharp edge digging into my skin as I once again still,

"Let her go Echo. Let her go," Bellamy demands as he tries to move forward, only to be held back by Kane,

"Back off Bellamy," Echo spits from behind me, and I try one last time to get her to listen to me,

"Your king is my friend. Let us help him, I don't want him to die any more than you do," I plead, my voice not reaching above a low whisper as I try to reason with her,

"You're lucky Roan has told me about you, Wanlida," she hisses in my ear before throwing me towards Bellamy and the others, my feet tripping over themselves as I fall right into Bellamy's waiting arms,

"Look around you! Skaikru did this to us. Because of them Ontari, your rightful Commander, is dead. This impostor stole her flame," Echo aims her sword at Clarke, her words causing  a series of outraged shouts and murmurs throughout the crowd.
