The days after we return to camp, Bellamy is absent in my life. Ever since the blowing of Mount Weather, no one and nothing has been the same, the fear of another grounder war being held over our heads sending people into a panic.

The 49 deaths at the bunker seems to be taking a toll on everyone, Jasper especially,

"Jasper, Jasper!" I hear Monty call out, and I look over to see the dark haired boy running to catch up to his friend, who only whirls round to face him with angry eyes,

"Leave me alone!" he shouts, causing Monty to stumble backwards. I sigh before running over to them,

"What's going on?" I demand, standing between the two boys who I've known my entire life. Jasper's eyes soften slightly as he meets my own, but then they harden once more as Monty explains,

"He's not going to the memorial," Monty states, crossing his arms over his chest,

"It's a little late for a Mount Weather memorial, son't you think?" Jasper drawls, sending accusational looks towards his friend,

"Look, Jasper I know your going through a lot, but Monty is just trying to help. And if you don't want to go to the memorial, then don't. We're all sorry Maya died, but there's nothing we can do about it now. She made a sacrifice, a sacrifice that saved me and everyone else in that mountain. So-" my sentence is cut off by the loud sound of the intercom cackling in the speakers above s,

"All unstationed security personnel report to main gate," the monotoned message repeats as I groan,

"Now what," I mumble before running to the gate, trying to see what has everyone's panties in a twist. I spot Octavia nearing the gate and I run up to her,

"Nyko," she points towards the small crowd of people at the front of the gate, and I make out the dark locks of hair belonging to the man who Lincoln calls a friend. We both rush forward, and when I see the group of grounders getting man handled by the guards, I roll my eyes,

"Hey, hey hey! That's enough!" Octavia calls out, her voice loud and sharp as she glares at the guard next to us,

"The Chancellor told Nyko that we could help," I interject, standing next to the girl. The tall guard puffs out his chest, his cold eyes glaring,

"You're one of them, you take em' in," he tells Octavia, who only shoves past him to help with the wounded crowd. I take a lethal step closer to the guard, my hands inching over my blades I know keep constantly strapped to my back,

"Say something like that to her again and I will gut you," I threaten, a flash of fear appearing in the guards eyes before he averts his gaze, taking a step back,

"Kat?" an all too familiar voice echoes in my head, and for a second I think my head is just playing games with me until I turn around, and I see the all too familiar red head for myself,

"Holy shi- Em?!" I leap forward, instantly going to the girl's side as I look her over, "I haven't seen you since the blast.. what the hell happened?" I exclaim, my eyes trailing over her familiar face. Her blue eyes sparkling as she takes me in,

"I was left by the mountain men when they took you all, and I knew I wasn't safe with my own people, so I went to Nyko, a friend who had helped me a long time ago. He took me in, and I tried to find you lot, but you know how impenetrable it is to get into the mountain... I was alone and had no way to find you, or even knew if you were alive, so I stayed in the small village, trying to teach as many as I could about how to fight," she informs me, and I smile at her words,

"I heard about what happened.. about the explosion," she murmurs quietly, and I shrug, the pain of the loss long gone and replaced with the coldness I now keep wrapped around my heart,
