It's been raining all day, she was hoping it would let up before her shift was over but no luck. The Sun is setting and she's trying to get off before the sun sets completely. Her:"Shit!!! I'm gonna miss my bus!" She grabs her things and heads out the door. She gets to the stop just in time to watch it pull away Her:"Great, just great now what?" It's pouring and she's getting soaked to the bone. She looks around and spots the coffee shop across the street a figures what the hell beats waiting out here another 20 minutes. she goes across the street and sees a guy tinkering with his car, apparently he's been there a while cause he's having a bitch fit and looks like he's about to take a 2 x 4 to his ride. Him"Oh come on really!!!!! Shit man this isn't close to being funny! The fuck man!" Poor thing she felt sorry for him! Maybe I'll get him a cup of coffee on the way out. She walks into a virtual nirvana, the place is dry and warm and the smell of coffee is intoxicating. She takes off her soaked coat and resist the urge to wring it out in the middle of the polished floor. Waitress:"oh sweetheart you're soaked, can I get you anything?" Her:"Coffee please, and a blow dryer if you have one" she smiles weakly. The waitress smiles back with a sympathetic look in her eyes. W:"Sure thing Hun" she takes a look in the mirror and nearly goes into shock, perfect I look like a fucken raccoon. She dabs away the smeared mascara and powders her nose.
W:"Here you go hun" she hands her her coffee and a towel W:"It's on the house, my blow dryer is on the fritz but I hope this helps" Her:"Thanks I really appreciate it" W:"If you need anything else let me know" Her:"I will, thanks again" she takes a few sips of her coffee and starts drying her hair when he comes in W:"What happened to you?" Him:"The ol girl decided to call it quits on me, today of all days! I just can't get her to start." W:"You poor thing let me get you some coffee and some towels you're soaked to the bone" Him:"Thanks Marty" M:"No problem Hun" he places a quick call, to a mechanic she's guessing, and he takes off his flannel to reveal a wifebeater clinging to his chiseled chest. He has a couple of tattoos, her weakness, Ah fuck!!!! Oh knock it off he's probably not even that cute anyway. M:"Here you go Hun" Him:"Thanks Marty, you're a doll" M:"Awe you're making blush" Him:"Does that mean you'll take me up on my invitation" M:"Shannon, you know I only have eyes for your brother" S:"And you know he's already taken" M:"Yeah I know, so how are Jared and .....Jlo" he laughs at that S:"Her name is Nina" M:"Whatever" she gives him a sweet smile S:"They're good, going on 7 months or is it 8?" M:Your coffee is getting cold" they both laugh S:"Yeah it is"
So his name is Shannon, nice name.....for a chic! He towels off his hair and looks up, he's gorgeous, his eyes are Hazel and intense. They're eyes lock for a few seconds and she swears she feels a connection between them. She looks away and feels mortified. Great! The one day she looks like crap hot n sexy decides to walk into her life. She nervously sips her coffee when she hears his voice. Ah hell just shoot me! S:"Hi, is this seat taken?" Her:"No, go right ahead" oh crap! S:"I see you ordered the free shower too" Her:"Hmm..... Oh yeah I guess I did" they laugh, God he has a beautiful smile S:"I'm Shannon by the way" he holds out his hand and she takes it, she shutters Her:"I'm Jewels" S:"So what happened to you?" J:"I missed the bus, I'm guessing you're the one I saw on the way in?" He blushes as he remembers his rant S:"With the car, yeah sorry about that!" J:"It's ok it happens" just then his mechanic arrives Guy:"Hey Shannon!" He tosses the guy his keys S:"I'll be right out Tomo" J:"Tomo?" S:"He's Croatian" J:"Hmm I like it!" He smiles sweetly S:"Im sorry but can you excuse me for a bit I'll be right back." J:"Sure go ahead" S:"Thanks" he kisses her hand and heads back out side, only then does she notice that he's been holding her hand this whole time. M:"Wow that was fast" J:"Hmmm...... I'm sorry, what?" M:"He replaced me already" she pretends to sniffle, she adorable!!! Jewels can't help but giggle J:"I'm sorry" M:"It's okay it's his brother I'm hung up on. Not that I wouldn't bed him in a quick minute, I'm sure he's amazing in bed but I'm not into a quick lay, it's just not my thing. His brother now that's a different story" she felt bad for her, whoever this Jared guy is, you could see it in her eyes she has it bad for him. J:"Sorry about his brother, maybe someday he'll feel about you the way you obviously feel about him" M:"Awe Thanks honey you're awfully sweet" J:"You're welcome Hun......" She looks at the time "...... Oh shit!!!! I'm gonna miss my bus again. Thanks for the coffee Hun" she grabs her things and heads back outside, well at least the rains let up.
